With 52 “micro-seasons” in fashion or one new collection being released weekly, the amount of clothing produced globally has reached all-time highs. Pair this with a harsh economy, and you'll find it sensible to purchase from brute fast fashion corporations. But you may be surprised at how much these cheap clothes burn a hole in your pocket. 💸 By calculating the Cost Per Wear of your clothing purchase, you can calculate how much you will gain or lose by choosing the cheaper option. To calculate the CPW, divide the number of times you've worn the item or think how many times the item will last by the purchase price. You might be surprised that sustainable brands can save you money and support a sustainable environment.

In the fast fashion era, denim fabrics are now commonly produced in lighter weights, ranging from 11-12 oz, compared to the traditional 13 oz used in the past. This shift has led to reduced production costs, making denim more affordable, but it has also impacted the overall quality and durability of the fabric. Fast fashion has created a culture of constant FOMO, where we feel pressured to keep up with ever-changing trends. To meet this demand, brands prioritize speed and affordability, often sacrificing quality for trendy, disposable clothing.
