🌟 The future of Binder Jetting just got more exciting! 🌟 I recently came across an incredible initiative: the QualiJet project by Fraunhofer IFAM and IPH - Institut für Integrierte Produktion Hannover gGmbH. They’re developing an automated powder removal solution using a smart robotic arm with a camera system to address some of the biggest challenges in Binder Jetting. 💡 Current depowdering systems work well, but challenges like handling complex geometries, internal cavities, or green parts with lower strength often require manual intervention. Automating these processes could not only enhance efficiency but also reduce manual risks. After engaging with their post, I’m even more curious to see how this smart robot navigates these challenges and outperforms manual depowdering techniques. Adaptive cleaning techniques tailored to specific materials or component strengths could be a game-changer for additive manufacturing processes! Traceability in a washdown environment? 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐮𝐬 𝐢𝐧! Daniel Koziel, our expert in 2D/3D Machine Vision at Adams, took on the challenge of finding a traceability solution for a local dairy plant. In washdown environments, the delicate electronics in code reading and vision technologies are at risk of damage, often leading to expensive and frequent replacements. Daniel put a Cognex Corporation DM280 inside an APG Vision Stainless Steel Enclosure. This solution was able to meet IP69k standards and keep up with extreme rates of speed. Over the year, we had the privilege to join Starrag at their TechDays in Switzerland and Chemnitz (GER), where we showcased the seamless integration of WAAM (Wire Arc Additive Manufacturing) and post-processing. Have you ever think how was your start? At business, at work or at any application? This is our story at LASCAM systems It was 2014 where Jan Rerucha and Michael Lee put "laser power" together and made a very first automated cleaning line here in CZ at Headlight production. Start is always hard but if you have right team and supporters than life is a bit easier, Jean Kocman, big thanks to you :) Anyway, since that time, we have made a lots of automated laser cleaning applications where we have had change "old" to new, sometimes against standards, metrics or whatever was on our way :) with great environmental effect that saved a lot of CO2 in past years.
