Love your eyes ❤️ World Sight Day is on Thursday, 12th October 2023, and Ainak is focusing the attention on the importance of eye care in the school room. Ainak is a Silicon Valley based nonprofit helping under-resourced school children and underserved communities across California achieve 20/20 vision free of cost. Our Mission No child should be left behind in the classroom due to the inability of the parents/guardian to afford proper eye-care. A 20/20 vision helps a child succeed in school and gain confidence to thrive in life. CDC reports over 62 million people in America lack vision insurance or access to eye care. In California over 240,000+ school students came back to the school without much needed eyeglasses. Ainak's mission is to fill this gap. In the US, 1 in 4 preschool-aged children have an undiagnosed vision problem, highlighting the importance of starting regular eye exams for young children. Good vision is important for a child's overall development and learning ability.
