Harri said: "There are so many people in London and so many cultures. You can go to one area and feel you belong, and go to another and feel like you don't. I like that feeling. There's more scope to learn. You're exposed to so many different things. "My south Asian heritage influences the way I practice my work, the way I interact with my colleagues. The way I grew up, the way I was treated at home... all of these things influence. Probably more than south Asian culture, immigrant culture is what I have. The culture of coming to a new place and being exposed to new things." Uncover the Secret Sauce: Why Co-Living Spaces Are the Future of Urban Living Co-living spaces are a relatively new phenomenon in India, but they have been growing in popularity in recent years. This is due to a number of factors, including the rising cost of living in major cities, the increasing number of young professionals, and the changing preferences of millennials. Co-living spaces are revolutionizing the rental landscape, offering a host of advantages over traditional rentals: Affordability: In bustling cities, co-living spaces often come as a breath of fresh air for budget-conscious individuals. Compared to traditional rentals, they typically offer more wallet-friendly options, making city living more accessible. Community: Feeling at home in a new city can be challenging, but co-living spaces foster a sense of community and camaraderie. Residents find themselves surrounded by like-minded individuals, creating an environment where friendships flourish and support is always close at hand. Flexibility: Life is unpredictable, and co-living spaces understand that. With flexible lease terms and hassle-free move-in and move-out procedures, residents have the freedom to adapt to changes in their lives without the stress of long-term commitments. Amenities: Gone are the days of sacrificing convenience for affordability. Co-living spaces boast a plethora of amenities, ranging from state-of-the-art gyms to cozy shared kitchens. With everything you need right at your doorstep, life becomes a little easier and a lot more enjoyable. With these compelling advantages, it's no wonder that the future of co-living spaces in India shines bright. As more individuals recognize the value they offer, the market is poised for continued growth in the years to come. Whether you're a student, a young professional, or a digital nomad, co-living spaces present an attractive and practical housing solution for modern living. . . . . . #coliving #colivingspaces #colive #colivinginindia #residentialrealestateexpert #realestateadvice #luxuryrealestate #househunting #realestate #investingtips #raipur #chhattisgarh #raipurrealestate #invictaenterprise #propertiesinraipur #realestatesale

PART-2 Taking the Leap: How We Went Full-Time with Oagh India When we first started, neither of us knew if we could make this a full-time venture. We were both juggling our careers, managing the business, and caring for our beautiful daughter. It was becoming overwhelming—trying to balance everything at once was challenging, and we realized something had to change. That’s when we decided to take a leap of faith. Before diving in full-time, we wanted to truly understand the world of handcrafted sarees. After discussing it together, we made a mutual decision: I would travel to India’s heritage weaving villages, while Tiyasi would manage the business and the family from home. For the next six months, almost every weekend, I was on the road. I slept on planes, trains, and visited weaving villages across India. I traveled to over 26 villages, meeting artisans, visiting homes, and exploring production units. What I experienced on this journey was indescribable—it humbled me deeply. I saw the economic and emotional struggles many weavers face—some were burdened by debt, others fighting to keep their art alive, possibly as the last generation to do so. Some artisans were thriving but remained unknown to the world. I learned about the geographical and historical significance of their crafts, how entire families had dedicated themselves to weaving for generations. It was overwhelming yet surreal, and it changed me as a person. Back at home, Tiyasi and I constantly exchanged notes. We brainstormed ways to collaborate with these artisans and support their crafts. But the heart of the brand wasn’t just about how well we could position ourselves—it was about whether we could create products that customers would truly love. At this point, we jumped in full-time. To put things into perspective, there are around 20,000 saree brands on Instagram alone. When we launched, we became the 20,001st! But that didn’t deter us—it was just the beginning. PART-3 : 400 Days of Oagh India Today marks our 400th day of working full-time on Oagh India. The past 13 months have been a whirlwind, filled with highs and lows. We’ve had months where we sold just 20 sarees, and others where we’ve sold over 250 in a single month. It’s been humbling and has kept us grounded. We didn’t even realize how much we were changing along the way. What started with Tiyasi’s keen eye for beautiful sarees has grown into something much larger. We’re now deeply connected with local artisans, promoting handcrafted sarees that tell stories of tradition, culture, and heritage. From unique designs to vibrant weaves, Oagh India has become a brand that celebrates India’s rich handloom legacy. What’s Next? As we stand here today, we’re excited about what’s coming next. We’re working on something big—at least, that’s what we believe! The next 3-6 months are going to be crucial for us, and we’re ready for the challenge. It’s all part of the fun, and we’re making our living from it. Keep following us on Instagram for exciting updates, and don’t forget to visit our website at www.oagh.in. PS: Oagh means "flow" of traditions, pronounced as 'ओघ'. Part 1 - https://lnkd.in/g88AtYWc? Part 2 - https://lnkd.in/gQrBVWXz?

As new cities arise and existing ones expand, it is vital that we plan and construct their futures with care. Unfortunately, this hasn't been the case in Indian cities. One of the most overlooked components has been park and public space development. Being in urban India is about being with and amongst people at every level of contact and experience. Historically, streets and squares were the primary places where people from many cultures and corners of the world interacted with one another. These were areas where people transacted, ate, celebrated, fought, loved, and performed sports, in addition to being a component of the transit system. We can only dwell indoors in our homes and businesses for so long as humans. We need room to breathe, stroll, engage, and assemble at some time. Cities that do not provide for these fundamental dimensions of human experience are pressure cookers waiting to erupt violently. #landscape #greenscape #maintainence #engage

Do cultural differences pose challenges in our businesses? I believe the situation influences when we have organizational family members from another country which eventually affects our day-to-day operations, especially in a culturally rich country like India. It significantly affects how a product is perceived and understood by consumers. One best ways to treat such differences is - Integrating People With Our Culture. ‘Back to Our Roots Program’ is one such initiative to aid differences and connect our sister company Jaipur Living’s people with our rich cultural values. We organized a 5-day value immersion tour for them to experience India and its diversity in every aspect. Jaipur Rugs is about the values and stories our artisans imbibe in the rugs; to sell those values first they need to connect with them. They experienced our artisans’ warmth and love by spending a day in Aspura village in Rajasthan. We marked the tour successful when they celebrated our high-spirited color festival - Holi with them and it turned out best of the best. They came with suitcases packed with essentials and left with value essentials - love and compassion in their heart. We are already missing them. Why do people say, 'If you don't travel, you know only one page of a whole book'? . . . . Spending a week in Shimla gave me a different perspective on life. Coming from a small town in Bihar and living in the busy city of Gurgaon, Shimla felt like a whole new world. During my time there, I noticed how people in Shimla have a slower pace of life compared to what I'm used to. They seem more in tune with nature and less rushed by the demands of modern life. The daily routines of the people in Shimla revolve around the mountains and the weather. They adapt to the changing seasons and embrace the simplicity of mountain living. From chatting with locals to observing their daily activities, I gained a deeper understanding of the close-knit community and strong connection to the land that define life in Shimla. This experience gave me a different insight into the way people live and interact in different environments. It's a reminder to appreciate the beauty of simplicity and the importance of living in harmony with nature. Moreover, I realized why people say, "If you don't travel, you only know one page of a whole book." Traveling opens our minds to new experiences, cultures, and ways of life, enriching our understanding of the world around us. 🌄 #ShimlaInsights #MountainLiving #NewPerspectives #TravelEnriches
