"A lot of News Channels and Social Reform Groups have approached me seeking my views on the new laws on Uniform Civil Code initiated by the state of Uttarakhand, I not only as a citizen of India, but a professional of law and Social welfare believes that relationships is a very personal matter and there have been centuries of evolution in the course of relationships, while government has a duty and responsibility to amend laws for the welfare of the citizens, but they cannot bind them over the restrictions of decision for their lives as we all are born with the "rights" as a human . Right to life, liberty and dignity are the basic rights we are born with and Laws should be made to have a smooth channelising of an individual life and not just the functioning of political agendas. If we talk about youth safety and GOOD, then why not improve the education system, ban under age drinking, Stricker laws on drugs, more Stricker laws on the Child and Women abuse? Our latest initiative dives into the innovative dynamics of urban governance and service delivery in Mysuru City. Through the 2023 Youth for Governance Fellowship (Y4G), we explore how active collaboration between citizens and local authorities can drive real change. The study highlights varied civic engagement across Mysuru’s wards and emphasizes the crucial role of youth participation in strengthening democratic processes. With a focus on empowering young leaders, enhancing communication through ICT, and fostering stronger partnerships with civic bodies and Resident Welfare Associations, GRAAM is working towards a more accountable and transparent governance system. Congress in Karnataka has included the entire Muslim community as socially & educationally backward. Would it not affect the OBCs in the state?Karnataka Backward Classes Welfare Department, has enlisted all castes and communities within the Muslim religion as socially and educationally backward classes under Category IIB in the State List of Backward Classes. In another way, the entire Muslim community will be getting all the benefits, at part with OBCs in the state. This is what Prime Minister Narendramodi has been saying all along: that cong wants to snatch benefits given to SCs, STs, and OBCs & give them to Muslims instead. This is redistribution of wealth.... snatch from OBC/SC/ST and give it to Muslims ....This is the reason why Rahul Gandhi wants to AMEND the Constitution and, enhance reservation from 50% to 73% #copypaste #sourceGauravPradhan #Loksabha2024 #Vote

I had the privilege of presenting the '2024 DRAFT UTTARAKHAND YOUTH POLICY' to the Hon'ble Minister of Youth Welfare and Sports, Government of Uttarakhand, in the presence of the Special Secretary, Youth and PRD, the Additional Secretary of Planning Department, and other stakeholders. We proposed establishing a State Youth Commission, State Youth Budget (in line with Gender budget), State Youth Development Index, State Youth Portal (in line with Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) portal) and providing an unemployment allowance/internship among other initiatives for the youth of Uttarakhand. Statewide consultations will be held with youth, civil society, educational institutions, and others regarding this draft. The plan is to officially launch the policy on January 12, 2025, during National Youth Day, just before the 38th edition of the National Games of India, which Uttarakhand will host. The draft has been prepared by me under guidance of CEO and ACEO of the Centre for Public Policy and Good Governance (CPPGG), Department of Planning, Government of Uttarakhand, UNDP Uttarakhand and other stakeholders. https://lnkd.in/gMWnxutF https://lnkd.in/gs9dAanm #Uttarakhand #YouthPolicy #NationalYouthDay

Grateful for the opportunity to showcase the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC) benefits at the Digital India State Consultation Workshop in front of the Government of NCT Delhi. The workshop focused on exchanging best practices in citizen services delivery and aims to further strengthen India's Digital Public Infrastructure by encouraging active participation from States and Union Territories. Looking forward to seeing more such workshops across other states soon! 💡The Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), launched in July 2021 as part of the National Education Policy 2020, is designed to revolutionize the Indian education system by promoting academic mobility and flexibility. It enables students to earn, store, and transfer academic credits across various institutions and disciplines, encouraging a more holistic and student-centric approach to learning. The ABC system supports lifelong learning, allowing students to pause and resume their education as needed, facilitating a more adaptable and personalized educational journey. 💡At the heart of the ABC system is the APAAR ID (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry), a unique and permanent 12-digit identifier for every student. This identifier consolidates all of a student's academic achievements into one digital account, streamlining the management and verification of their educational records. The size of the budget has grown substantially since Covid, and the government has continued spending an increasing share of it on capex. There has been a change in the mix on welfare and subsidy spending, with the overall subsidy bill trending lower. That is a welcome sign. #MEDC #MaharashtraEconomicDevelopmentCouncil #India #Maharashtra #Mumbai #Pune #Nashik #Nagpur #Kolhapur #council #research #researchanddevelopment #socioeconomic #economicdevelopment #economicgrowth #economy #indianeconomy #globaleconomy #economynews #worldeconomy

Though Kerala has made significant strides in the field of education, tribal students in the state still fall behind non-tribal students, as evident from several indicators like lower rates of enrolment and higher drop-out rates, mainly owing to poor access. Chekadi, nestled amidst dense forests on three sides and the Kabina River on the other, is a village in Wayanad district, known for its significant tribal population. Predominantly inhabited by Adiya, Paniya, Naikka, and Uraali tribes, the area faces challenges in providing education beyond the fourth grade. While the nearest schools in Pulpally are approximately 13 km away, many tribal students are unable to undertake the journey due to limited transportation and the perilous forest route infested with wild animals. Consequently, a considerable number of students drop out of education prematurely. Despite government initiatives aimed at tribal welfare, areas like Chekadi lack basic educational infrastructure. Despite numerous appeals to upgrade the local school to a higher primary status, no concrete action has been taken. With the new school year fast approaching, the KPA Trust urges immediate measures to elevate the school to upper primary status, ensuring educational opportunities for tribal children in the area. The Kerala Pravasi Association Trust is dedicated to enhancing the lives of our children. We believe that everyone deserves equitable opportunities, and that is what KPA strives for. At KPA Trust, we are committed to ensuring that every child, regardless of their background or circumstances, has access to quality education. Through our efforts, we have been able to make a positive impact on the lives of many children. KPA Trust reminds us of our collective responsibility to uplift the lives of children, who embody the future of our nation. . . #keralapravasiassociationtrust #KPA #kerala #pravasi #keralam #keralapravasi #SelfReliantKeralaThroughPravasis #educational #equality #QualityEducation #childlabor #educationmatters #financialfreedom #educationforall #educationispower #tribal #KeralaEducation

🌟 Embracing Awareness in Government Schools 🌟 Yesterday, I had the privilege of taking 50 students to the Chief Minister's Trophy function at Nehru Stadium. There, a mesmerizing choreography illustrated the various welfare schemes provided by the Government of Tamil Nadu and Greater Chennai Corporation What truly struck me was witnessing my students' awareness and understanding of these schemes. It filled me with joy and surprise to see them so politically informed—a stark contrast to my own school days. Despite the stigma surrounding government schools, it's inspiring to see how they are preparing students to comprehend the society they live in. Government students, as recipients of various benefits (and flaws), gain a unique perspective that fosters appreciation and critical thinking. Having experienced both private school education and government college, I can attest to how these experiences have shaped my political awareness. As a UPSC aspirant and a Teach For India fellow in Puliyanthope, I find immense value in the lessons learned from my students' experiences. Let’s continue to support and uplift government schools, recognizing the vital role they play in nurturing informed citizens of tomorrow! #Education #SocialImpact #TeachForIndia #GovernmentSchools #PoliticalAwareness
