The funding round was co-led by World Fund and Porsche Ventures and included Bosch Ventures, DTCF | DeepTech & Climate Fonds, NRW.Global Business. This marks the largest funding ever raised by a European battery recycling company and the first co-investment from Porsche and Bosch in Germany. Founded in 2022, cylib emerged from research at RWTH Aachen University and is led by CEO Lilian Schwich, CTO Paul Sabarny, and COO Dr Gideon Schwich. The company plans to use the funds to industrialize its proprietary recycling technology at a secured industrial facility in Germany, catering to leading OEMs and battery manufacturers. cylib technology enables the recycling of every component in a lithium-ion battery, achieving over 90% efficiency while reducing environmental impact by 30% compared to competitors. The company aims to address the rising demand for battery recycling, driven by the growth of electric vehicles, and ensure the resilience of European battery supply chains. The funding will also support further hiring and the scaling of cylib’s operations, positioning it as a leading battery recycler in Europe. Introducing MO4X💡 MO4X is a team from this semester's cohort. The team is researching and developing a more efficient method for storing ammonia and are looking for more contacts in the area. ❔Can you please give a brief description of what you are doing?  We are creating a start-up based on the technology of safely storing ammonia in a solid-state material. This will make transporting and storing the toxic ammonia safer. However, we are not only considering storage and transportation but other uses and markets too. ❔What are your main milestones so far in the progress?  Our main milestones include meetings with stakeholders who have guided us towards promising markets, which we are currently researching. Specifically, we have met with two major ammonia and urea producers, Pardis Petrochemical Company in Iran and Yara in Norway. Additionally, we have held meetings with Amminex and received valuable opinions and assistance from several professors at DTU. ❔What are you working on right now?  At the moment, we are conducting market and problem research to identify the areas where our start-up can have the greatest impact and address the most challenging issues related to working with ammonia. Additionally, we are exploring expanding our research beyond ammonia to include other potentially hazardous gases that our material could absorb. ❔What could be helpful for you? 📢❗Carbon Quantification Announcement! ⬅️ Last week, our Chief Marine Scientist, Catalina Zuluaga Arias, in collaboration with Dr. Carlos Edwin Gómez, conducted field trials on the first #hardware specially designed for and by Blusink! 🔵💪 Blusink partnered with DeepCo - Underwater Technology - to co-create our subsea incubation chambers and upscale ocean carbon MRV processes on the seabed. The best part?
