A hot topic at the IMPA Congress in Rotterdam this week. Interesting news from PTR Holland Group about what can be done to improve the safety of pilot transfer arrangements. We hope the revised SOLAS regulation V/23 will make this type of approach mandatory when ships need to secure pilot ladders at intermediate lengths.
