🎉 Exciting News from TUS! 🎉 Yesterday, we had the pleasure of welcoming Minister Patrick O'Donovan to our campus, where he announced an incredible new initiative: the Part-Time Fee Scheme for Specified Undergraduate Courses. We're thrilled to share that a selection of our courses in the Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Learning has been included in this pioneering scheme! This scheme, a first of its kind in Ireland, extends grant support to part-time undergraduate students, making education more accessible to underrepresented groups, including those from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds, the Traveller and Roma communities, students with disabilities, lone parents, and carers. Here are the TUS courses covered under this scheme: 📚 Bachelor of Arts in Business, Social Enterprise, Leadership and Management (Honours) 📚 Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts 📚 Bachelor of Business (Honours) 📚 Bachelor of Science in Quality and Lean Management (Honours) 📚 Bachelor of Arts in Law (Honours) 📚 Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Care and Education Dean of Faculty of Continuing, Professional, Online and Distance Learning Dr. Michael Tobin, summed it up perfectly: “This inclusion underlines our commitment to providing flexible and accessible education for all.” A big thank you to our Student Speaker at the event Linda Redmond who spoke passionately to the minister about her experience returning to education as an adult learner part-time. Linda gave us an insight into the financial supports she received from government initiatives and how they allowed her to go from being unsure of her ability to return to education to achieving a 1:1 honours degree and now starting funded postgraduate study with TUS!
