Port de Barcelona’s Post

🔌 The #PortofBarcelona is taking a major step towards sustainability with the arrival of the first Onshore Power Supply (OPS) system for ferries at Grimaldi's terminal. 🌱 Starting in January, ships docked at the Sant Bertran quay will connect to renewable electricity, cutting engines, reducing emissions and noise, and improving air quality in Barcelona. This project, part of the Nexigen Plan, has been developed by VINCI Energies Spain in partnership with Grimaldi Group and supported by the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan. This infrastructure brings us closer to our goal of electrifying key quays and advancing towards a greener port. 🚢♻️  #Sustainability #GreenPort #OPS #PortInnovation
