I cycle to work and I love it! It's a great way to start and end the day as I get to switch off on my ride home. I save some money, its greener and I also get some regular cardio in. What's not to like?! These days, I genuinely dread the mornings when I need to use public transport. Advocacy is a massive thing, so if you already have a cycle to work scheme in place, what do you do to promote it? Have you considered a benefit spotlight to highlight the perks of the scheme? Similarly, if you're going to implement a new arrangement, a strategic comms plan should sit next to any roll out. It will ensure that employees are engaged and informed on what's available to them. Today, May 17, marks #NationalBiketoWorkDay, and with many of our Bunters opting for a bike commute to work today (and most work days), it was no challenge getting a few action shots for the day that’s in it. 🚲 National Bike to Work Day is celebrated annually on the third Friday each May to promote sustainable commutes, physical and mental wellness, and the strengthening of community connections. At Bunt & Associates, we're strong believers in active transportation! Building sustainable communities is part of our DNA, and it’s one of the reasons that our #ActiveTransportation Practice is growing and our projects are catching lots of attention. Active Modes / Mobility is finding ways to incorporate physical activity into our commutes and movement, whether it be walking, cycling, scooters or other forms. Even public transport that requires us to get to stops and stations can be counted.
