Accurately represent the Company to customers, the public, and other external sources in person, in writing, or by telephone or e-mail. Work on a team of two to three people. Develop growth and strategy plans. Increase the Company's client base. Negotiate with stakeholders. Adhere to ethical business practices locally and internationally. Organize and keep up do date various data bases and sales documents. Travel extensively to both domestic and overseas maritime shipping centers. Knowledge / Qualifications Sales and Marketing- 3-5 years of agency, chartering and / or shipping experience. Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services. This includes marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems. Customer and Personal Service- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Administration and Management- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. English Language- Must be able to read, speak, and write English well enough to understand and communicate written directives, and understand the knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar. Skills Speaking- Talking to others to convey information effectively. Active Listening- Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Social Perceptiveness- Being aware of others' reactions and understanding why they react as they do. Persuasion- Persuading others to change their minds or behavior.
