Exciting progress in the West Midlands: The Local Investment in Natural Capital (LINC) programme is transforming our region's natural landscape at scale. Key highlights from the initiative: - Over 200 projects spanning 43,000ha - Strong focus on habitat restoration and green infrastructure - First predominantly urban region selected for Defra's LINC programme - Expert consortium led by Finance Earth, including Accelar, eftec, Sustainability West Midlands, Michelmores, Middlemarch and Slingshot Design Ltd At the recent West Midlands Natural Environment Summit, Mayor Richard Parker emphasised the programme's commitment to securing private sector investment for nature projects that will create greener, healthier communities across the region.
