When Dover Fire & Rescue sent out a call for help, Portsmouth Regional Hospital and its employees responded. In late August, a flood from a water line break destroyed all of the toys the fire department had been storing – about $40,000 worth -- for its annual Dover Fire Toy Bank. This was the first time in more than 40 years that the fire department would be starting off the holiday season with no supplies. When Portsmouth Regional Hospital employees heard about the toys, they went shopping, and we recently handed over the collection to Dover Fire. Back row, representatives of Portsmouth Regional Hospital’s Employee Advisory Group, as well as members of the senior team, including interim CEO John Skevington, far right. In front, Dover firefighters Michael Kilday and Jared Bouchard. When you do good in the world, #ItShows #PRHProud #CareLikeFamily

At HCA Healthcare, our hospitals support the communities we serve not only through outstanding patient care, and heartfelt compassion, but through sponsorships and volunteerism. This week, the HCA Healthcare Foundation went a step further to support our New Hampshire community by providing a $25,000 grant to Gather, a non-profit organization dedicated to addressing issues of food insecurity in New Hampshire’s Seacoast Region. Thank you to the team at Gather for all they do every day for all who walk through their doors, board their special market bus (“Gus the Bus”), or visit their farmers’-style markets. https://bit.ly/3BhStYH When you do good in the world, #itshows! #HealthierTomorrow #HCAFoundation #CareLikeFamily
