Applying Augmented Reality (AR) solutions in solving problems in Nuclear Technology the latest trend. It helps to look at problems in nuclear technology and use of nuclear radiation, in a new perspective. One of the problems with nuclear radiation was, it is never seen by naked eye. But with latest AR technology we can make users feel as if they view nuclear radiation from naked eye, making it easy to understand and handle radiation safely. The Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), USA has developed the VIPER (Virtual Interaction with Physics Enhanced Reality) combining Augmented Reality and nuclear radiation transport simulation. #AR #Augmentedreality #nuclear #radiation #virtualreality #VR #emersivemedia

🚀 New Episode Alert: F5 Live: Refreshing Technology - Episode 671! 🎙️ I'm excited to announce that our latest episode is now live! In this episode, we dive into some fascinating topics that are shaping the tech landscape today. Here are three key takeaways that you won't want to miss: Microsoft's Nuclear Power Move: We discuss Microsoft's recent decision to reactivate the Three Mile Island nuclear power plant to power its data centers. This move is part of their commitment to reducing carbon emissions while meeting the growing energy demands of their operations. We explore the implications of this decision, the historical context of nuclear power in the U.S., and the potential public backlash they may face. It's a bold step that could redefine how tech companies approach energy consumption. The Environmental Impact of AI: As we delve into the world of artificial intelligence, we highlight the surprising environmental costs associated with AI technologies. From the significant water usage in data centers to the carbon footprint of AI operations, we discuss why these issues are often overlooked. We also question why water consumption is frequently cited over electricity usage when discussing AI's environmental impact. This conversation sheds light on the need for a more comprehensive understanding of AI's ecological footprint. Intel's Lunar Lake Processors: We take a closer look at Intel's new Lunar Lake processors, which are set to revolutionize the laptop market. With built-in RAM and impressive AI performance capabilities, these chips are designed for efficiency and power. However, we also discuss the limitations they impose, particularly the inability to upgrade RAM beyond 32GB. This raises important questions about consumer choice and the future of laptop design, especially for power users who require more memory. Join us as we unpack these topics and more in Episode 671 of F5 Live Refreshing Technology! Whether you're a tech enthusiast or a professional in the industry, there's something for everyone in this episode. 👉 Listen now and let us know your thoughts! https://lnkd.in/ew4K3yt8 #F5Live #Technology #Podcast #Microsoft #NuclearPower #AI #Intel #LunarLake #TechNews #Sustainability
