The birdSEED Foundation is soaring. So is my commitment. Nothing has exceeded my expectations like birdSEED. Nothing has bummed me out more than having to downshift the work on my book. Self-Elected: How to Put Justice Over Profit and Soar in Business. Recently a few folks asked, "lisa - have you considered running for office." I considered that a long long time ago. But I self-elected to get shit done as fast as I could. I started a business, then came good jobs, employee ownership, murals, trash walks, local procurement, community investment, local banking, small business partnerships, and LOTS of tax paying. I picked business because I like to move FAST and I am set on social impact and justice. I'm choosing birdSEED over any real push for Self-Elected. For now. It's the right decision.
