Was just reading the foreword by Doug Tallamy...WOW! Here's a small sample... “Every once in a while, a book comes along that meets an important need most people don’t know they have. Sarah Jayne’s Nature’s Action Guide is such a book. Sarah could have called her book Conservation for Dummies—not that she wrote it for true dummies, but because she has identified a subject everyone needs to know but almost no one was ever taught: how to share our spaces with the natural world.” … “Sarah wrote Nature’s Action Guide as a complement to my book Nature’s Best Hope. My last chapter suggested 10 things homeowners could/should do to help share their property with nature. After reading my book, Sarah set about trying to enact each of these suggestions in her own yard but quickly realized that, even as an experienced gardener, she didn’t know enough to be successful. And if she didn’t know enough, many other budding conservationists were likely to struggle as well. Sarah’s solution was to write Nature’s Action Guide, a step-by-step, easy to use manual that explains how each of us, regardless of our background or gardening experience, can accomplish all of the goals I propose in Nature’s Best Hope, as well as several I only hinted at! Restoration biology is a relatively young scientific discipline a few decades old. Practicing restoration in human-dominated landscapes, in comparison, is in its infancy and we are still learning what works and what doesn’t work. One of its many distinguishing features is that Nature’s Action Guide is current, explaining state-of-the-art conservation in suburbia with the most up-to-date best-practices available. Even a half-hearted attempt to follow Sarah’s action items is guaranteed to improve the biodiversity potential of your landscape and thus the productivity of your local ecosystem. For this, we all owe Sarah Jayne our heartfelt thanks and gratitude—because, whether we appreciate it or not, we all depend on those same ecosystems.” Douglas W. Tallamy

I'm excited to say that Nature's Action Guide is finally published! Thank you to everyone who has helped make it a reality!

🌟 Thank you to everyone who joined our recent sessions on best practices for tolerances in design! It was fantastic to see such engagement and enthusiasm for this critical aspect of product development. In case you missed it, here are some key takeaways: 🔍 Common Tolerance Issues: Tolerance confusion is widespread in product design and manufacturing, impacting performance and cost. 🛠️ Designer Challenges: Avoiding insufficient, unnecessarily tight, or impossible-to-hold tolerances is crucial to prevent design flaws and cost overruns. 🏭 Manufacturing Factors: Achieving final tolerances involves managing variance, careful tooling/process selection, and monitoring tool/equipment wear. 🔬 Quality Inspection: Overcoming challenges with measurement statistics, automation, and utilizing tools/gauges for compliance checks. 💡 Key Takeaways: There’s no one-size-fits-all approach to tolerances, but clear communication, understanding documentation, and interdepartmental collaboration are crucial. Incorporating tolerance considerations into Design for Manufacturing (DFM) enhances overall efficiency. Stay tuned for more valuable insights and expertise to empower your success in design and manufacturing.

I launched Mync Boutique while sitting alone in my car, across from a post office, with nothing but a vision and determination. The road was filled with obstacles, but each struggle reinforced my commitment to my dream. Today, Mync Boutique is a thriving symbol of female entrepreneurship and empowerment. For all the women out there who feel alone in their journey, remember: your solitary beginnings can lead to extraordinary achievements. Keep believing in your dreams. 🌟 #WomenInBusiness #EntrepreneurialSpirit #Empowerment

Thank you for the birthday wishes and kind messages. I deeply appreciate them. Your words touched my heart. A few days before my birthday, I found myself questioning many things, especially my path in advocacy. It was a difficult time, but your words provided me with much-needed strength. I also drew inspiration from the supportive messages of colleagues and friends. Knowing that others might be experiencing similar doubts, I decided to transform these encouraging words into an anthem for construction workers going through tough times. What began as personal reflection on my has grown into something more meaningful – they reminder of our shared journey in this challenging field. So, to every construction worker facing difficult times: - When your muscles ache from long hours - When the weather tests your resolve - When you question if it's all worth it - When you feel unseen despite building the world around us Remember: You are not alone. Every structure you help create tells a story of persistence. Every beam you place speaks of strength. Every project you complete proves your resilience. We build more than buildings – we build futures, communities, and hope. Your work matters. Your dedication matters. YOU matter. I hope you have a great listen. With solidarity and hope, Angela
