✔️ New social media update: TikTok is reportedly working on a new option that would enable brands to deploy virtual influencers, who would then be able to sell their products on their behalf via videos and live-streams in the app. And how would this work? The feature, which is still under development, would generate a script for a video ad based on a prompt submitted by the advertiser, as well as an AI-generated influencer to perform in the video and TikTok Shop merchants could also use the AI influencer tool to promote their goods. As always, there has been a stream of social media updates announced over the last week...phew! 🤯 If you missed them, we’ve rounded up some key highlights to help you stay on track... 😳 TikTok is reportedly working on a new option that would enable brands to deploy virtual influencers, who would be able to sell their product on their behalf via video and live-stream in-app. 💭 Instagram has confirmed that Notes will soon be displayed on user profiles, rather than just in the DM screen. It hopes this will spark further engagement. 🎶 Despite an ongoing battle between TikTok and UMG, Taylor Swift fans will be pleased to hear a few of her songs will be returning to the platform! However, the agreement between UMG and TikTok for other songs in the UMG catalogue has still not been determined. ❌ In an era trying to tackle misinformation, Elon Musk revealed he doesn’t fact-check what he posts on X.
