It has officially been one year with College Track for me. I remember getting the recruiting email for this job and almost being floored by the description; the job somehow combined all my passions, interests, experience, and knowledge into one unbelievable package. One year later, I continue to be grateful for that email. Within that first year I have joined our Senior Leadership Team, rolled out a major system upgrade to be able to track scholar impact, reworked/rethought data-oriented Board materials, and generally feel like I have found my place.
This has been an incredible opportunity and one filled with highs and lows. There have been successes and failures, excitements and frustrations, and I wouldn’t change any of it. I am grateful to the organization for the work we do by committing to first-generation and low-income scholars in 9th grade for the next 10 years of their lives to successfully see them not just to college but through college. We have ambitious goals moving forward, I have an amazing team to help me do the work that needs to be done, and leadership that is confident in our direction.
The year has flown by and I am so excited about what is out in front of me and College Track. Here’s to more years, more data, more insights, more impact, and more scholars getting to live lives of opportunity, choice, purpose, and power.
