Not all learnings come easy. I am an extremely agile person. I don't care about a lot of things and am mostly okay with mending my ways if the situation requires. However, there are certain things that I am extremely particular about. One such thing is the footwear "crocs". Now we will not deep delve into how the brand "Crocs" have positioned themselves to be known as a type of footwear. What we will talk about here is how I hate crocs. While I was packing for my MBA at Goa Institute of Management (GIM), I was told by a lot of my peers and seniors to buy a crocs to be able to survive in rains but me being me bought extremely pretty footwear that weren't customized to work in heavy goa rains. It was my second day at the campus and my footwear broke and I had to walk barefoot with my footwear in hands only because I catered my love/hate above what works and what doesn't. Now, since my pretty footwear broke, I had no option but to order, what works, "CROCS". Learning? 1. You cannot always stick to what you like. There will be times you will have to choose things you dislike. 2. Don't shy away from choosing them because if you run away from it then there might be a possibility of you suffering too. 3. Not everything you love/like would work at every place. Make tough calls and see it making all the difference.

🚀 A Proud Moment for India! 🇮🇳 I am thrilled to share an exciting development that not only marks a significant milestone for JR One Footwear but also shines as a proud moment for India and every Indian who has been part of this journey. JR One Footwear is set to expand its operations by establishing two new factories in Tamil Nadu. This expansion is more than just a business move; it's a testament to the hard work, innovation, and dedication of everyone involved. From our skilled workforce to our committed partners, this success is a shared achievement. This strategic merger and expansion signify more than growth for JR One Footwear—it embodies the spirit of collaboration and the power of mutual success. I encourage other brands and factories across India to take inspiration from this model. By working together and adopting a cooperative approach, we can drive significant growth, create more jobs, and contribute to the nation's economic progress. Fidelix Industries | Director of Business | We manufacture High-Quality Safety - PPE, Footwear & Equipment For Domestic & Global Market |
The world is looking at India for leather & footwear manufacturing! As global brands explore China plus one strategy, India is in the spotlight for most companies. Today, the Indian footwear industry's size is $18 billion where exports consist of $5-$6 billion. India has 7 clusters in this industry: Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, West Bengal, Haryana and UP. This sector employs more than 44 Lakh people, out of them 40% are women. Here are 3 signs why India is the focus of more top leaders and companies: 1. Though 80% of non-leather products are manufactured in China, Vietnam and Indonesia, India is reaching the top ranks steadily. 2. Due to India’s infrastructure, manpower and government policies, brands like Nike, Columbia and Crocs are manufacturing in the country. adidas and PUMA Group are also on the list. 3. Tamil Nadu has become the centre of the sector for a long time. India’s leather, footwear and leather products industry is set to grow to $47 billion by 2030. In the next 7 years, this sector will provide 20 Lakh jobs which will increase more! Do you predict the same? Will India be able to become one of the global leaders in the industry one day? #india #footwear #manufacturing #brand #jobs

Why more factories closed in West Java Indonesia? The closure of the BATA Shoe factory in Purwakarta, West Java on Tuesday (30/4/2024) received public attention due to their massive laid-off of this popular Czechoslovakia-Netherland brand. PT Shoes Bata Tbk (BATA) is a footwear manufacturer that is part of the Bata Shoes Organization. Founded in 1931 as a shoe importer. Then production began at the Kalibata factory, South Jakarta, in 1940. According to their official press release, PT.Sepatu Bata, TBK stated that it had been working hard for the last four years to face challenges. However, along the way, a number of shoe models produced by the factory experienced a decline in demand. In response to this case, the Indonesian Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) will summon Bata's management to obtain a complete explanation of this European brand. In my opinion, this updates can be considered a good news! PT. SEPATU BATA TBK [BATA] has been performing poorly on the Jakarta stock market and despite of our visit last year, they never purchase any precision tools and testing equipment from MetalExtra.com. Hopefully this immediate closure may "offset" their financial loss and allowed them to trim those costs and shift to factories outside Java in the near future.
