📢 Modern wood heating is a vital strategy for measurably reducing the use of fossil fuels for heating while simultaneously improving ambient air quality. Indeed, over the past decade, modern wood heating combustion technology has improved dramatically by increasing efficiency and significantly lowering particulate emissions. ➡️ DID YOU KNOW THAT: The emissions of gaseous pollutants and particles in a certified wood pellet boiler are approximately: 🟢 3.5 times less than that of an old oil boiler-burner system 🔵 and 1,300 times less than that of an open wood fireplace. The weight of particles released in the air are: 🟢 1,33 kg/ year from a modern, EU-certified wood pellet boiler 🔵 1.811 kg /year from a traditional open wood fireplace In particular, the EU has introduced change-out programs to replace old heating systems with new, high-efficiency and certified wood pellet boilers for domestic heating.
