I've never gone sailing. I hear it's more fun than floating. It's the same in business. Many businesses are stable and floating...but they are dependent on the current. It’s when they learn to build a sail and capture the wind that they really start to take off. Good press is like the wind in the sail. It takes you to the places you want to go. Like a fun client who wanted to make waves at a prestigious sailboat show. Our process navigated a course for success that kept the client in front of key media gatekeepers and sailing friendly seas even after the campaign ended. This client success story and the summary of their voyage are linked below in the comments. #Success #MakeChange #Industry

#ThursdayTrivia: Did you know that sailboats can use a technique called "wing-and-wing" when sailing downwind, where they set one sail on each side of the boat, creating a configuration resembling a bird's wings? This maximizes sail area and helps catch the wind efficiently. https://lnkd.in/g67GwGCc #sailing #sailorscoffee #sailingtrivia #sailtrivia #sailinglifestyle

More sailing landmarks lost. I sail on real sail boats with no electricity and no motor on races of 50 to 100 miles. I love it (but I seldom go anymore as it takes longer and longer to recover from a race). Yesterday the stacks at the Trenton Coal Plant were demolished. As a sailor, these were key landmarks for navigation. To date on the Great Lakes about 60% of the landmarks I learned (primarily stacks) have been removed. It make navigation much harder without installing batteries on the boat and adding GPS (some of you will tell me I could use a handheld, but they tend to be less accurate). GPS does not let me offset based on wind direction like I could with a landmark. I know sailing is just recreation, sailors could go for a run or bicycle instead. We don't need to have boats. We don't need to race boats. Stacks are a real eyesore that need to come down, yesterday already. But I miss my landmarks and being able to teach young sailors how to use them.
