Celebrating Achievements on LinkedIn: January A Month of Collective Success Stories Did anyone else notice on LinkedIn that January was a month of a true testament to the spirit of unity and celebration? It was genuinely inspiring to witness so many peers and connections honor their previous year’s achievements. This period reminded us of the essence of moving forward, leaving behind negativity to embrace life’s fullness. It was about coming together to acknowledge our collective hard work and dedication. The atmosphere was reminiscent of the times when anticipation for president’s club awards and trips filled the air. The rewards were extravagant and varied, from luxury watches and cars to all-expenses-paid vacations. These tokens of appreciation weren’t just for the individual but extended to their peers and loved ones, enhancing the sense of community and shared success. Company trips varied in scale, some accommodating hundreds, while others were intimate gatherings of a president’s club of five. But regardless of the size, the underlying message was clear – let’s continue to celebrate our achievements, both big and small. Such moments strengthen our bonds and renew our commitment to excellence. Hard Work Works! #UnityInSuccess #CelebratingAchievements #PresidentsClubMemories #MDPen #LinkedIn #Calibration #TogetherWeGrow

Last week, I had the incredible opportunity to join our team for a retreat at the American River 🌊. While the entire experience was unforgettable, the highlight for me was rafting — a first-time adventure that left me with lasting insights. As we navigated the river, each stretch presented a unique challenge. The rapids varied in intensity, requiring us to adapt quickly and stay coordinated. It wasn’t long before I started drawing parallels between our journey on the water and the path we’re carving out as a team and organization. Here are a few lessons I took away from the rapids: 1. Teamwork is everything. Just like paddling in synchrony is crucial to steering through turbulent waters, collaboration is key in overcoming challenges at work. 2. Camaraderie, adaptability, and resilience are non-negotiable. The river throws surprises at you, and much like in our professional journey, staying adaptable and leaning on each other makes all the difference. 3. Control is only part of the equation. There are moments when you have to take charge, and others when you must let go and surrender to the flow — in life and in work, knowing when to do each is vital. This experience left me inspired and with a deeper appreciation for the power of teamwork and resilience, both on the river and in the workplace. 🌊🚀

Last week, I had the pleasure of leading the incredible team of dedicated professionals and hilarious human beings which make up MENA Rights Group through what I can only describe as a transformative team retreat. I say transformative as much for me as for them. Seeing their courage in sharing and connecting, diving deep into their challenges and dreams, focusing as seriously on their mental health and team-work as they do on the crucial documentation and human rights work they do... It was inspirational, deeply gratifying, and strengthened me in my certainty that what the approach of combining "inner work" (team-collaboration, boundary setting, self-leadership, conflict and tension work, communication, etc) with the "outer work" (strategy, structuring, roles and responsibilities, impact measurement, etc) we have at Purpose+Motion is a key ingredient to building sustainable, regenerative organisations which have massive impacts on the global issues we are facing. #ProudCoach #Transformation #Retreats
Last week, we spent a couple of days in the south of France, during which we got to connect as a team and strategize for the future. After 5+ years of existence, it was our first-ever retreat. It's easy to get swamped in our busy day-to-day, but it's also essential to give ourselves some time to step back and reflect. Led by our coach Michael Romig, we got to know each other, strengthened our team's trust, well-being and performance, learned about self-leadership and functioning autonomously. We also want to thank Château l'Escarelle for hosting us in such a serene environment!

Opening Doors With Club Activities: Leadership, Coordination, and Teamwork Taking part in club activities has been one of the most fulfilling experiences I've had. It's not just about the enjoyment and friendship you develop along the way; these are the priceless skills you acquire. Here's what I've learned: 🔹 Confidence: Stepping up to new challenges and pushing my boundaries. 🔹 Experience: Gaining hands-on experience and learning from every moment. 🔹 Leadership: Leading a dedicated team towards our common goals. 🔹 Team Management: Balancing tasks and responsibilities to ensure smooth operations. 🔹 Teamwork: Collaborating with talented individuals, each bringing unique strengths to the table. 🔹 Coordination: Harmonizing efforts to achieve seamless execution. Proud to be part of such a dynamic and driven community. Looking forward to more such enriching experiences! Joining a club is more than just an extracurricular activity; it’s an opportunity to develop critical life skills that pave the way for future success. I encourage everyone to dive into these opportunities and discover the growth potential they hold. 🌱✨

We're almost to the end of the year. We are definitely on the road to the holidays. We only have two (2) more Nice Guy awards for 2023. So, please get in your nominations. Every Friday, I’ll share nominations for people who have been identified as nice guys (and gals). If you want to nominate someone, just shoot me a private message by 5:00 EDT on Thursday. There are only 3 requirements: 1) you have to be connected to the person you nominate 2) you can only nominate one person per week 3) you can’t nominate yourself 😀 If you want to provide a brief reason for your selection, that’s great, but it’s not a requirement. Let’s recognize people who make a difference simply by being nice. Have a great day, everyone. https://lnkd.in/et8M33uz #network #sportsbiz #people #niceguy #networking #sportsmarketing

2moGolf isn’t a sport it’s just a sadistic torment disguised as fun. Walking around for several hours next to lakes filled with monster trophy bass is also torture. No fishing, pfah, not to my teenage “Basspassing” self. Caught 3 x 9lb Largemouths in one morning at Innisbrook in Palm Harbor. Security caught us, me an Michael Burnett of Westlake Village, his Dad bailed us out! Couldn’t run, fish too heavy, and they snuck up on us in their quiet cart. Tennis, not pickleball, is still my favorite since 7 years old.
