Across the country, voters count on their polling location to be accessible, efficient, and most importantly, OPEN for Election Day and early voting. Without poll workers, none of this would be possible. Some states still need poll workers to ensure everyone can participate in democracy. See your state? Click here to sign up now: powerthepolls.org

Ballot curing is an election issue that does not always get a lot of attention. But, it can be critical in close races. Learn more about ballot curing below and consider signing up for phone banks to reach voters who may need to cure their ballot …
In today’s election tip, we turn our attention to a lesser known issue — ballot curing. Voting Tip: If You Make a Mistake, There Is a Fix: What is ballot curing? I just learned about it. It’s a process to fix a mail-in ballot. Ballot curing is not a “sexy” election issue. However, according to NPR, it is an issue that may affect hundreds of thousands of voters: https://lnkd.in/gSbtizSj Ballot curing is needed when a voter’s signature or ID does not match information on file, for example, or a date may be missing. Curing fixes these issues to make sure that everyone’s vote counts. Volunteer with organizations, like mobilize.us, to call voters and alert them that their ballot needs to be cured … in a close election, these ballots being counted may make the difference between victory and defeat. A new Pew survey found a sizable gap in expectations for how each candidate will handle a possible election defeat. This echoes the anxieties of voters in the Keystone State. A recent statewide poll shows 71% of respondents are concerned about voting irregularities in this year's election. This underscores the need for groups like the Democracy Defense Project to educate the public about the electoral process and ensure its integrity. Yesterday, we released a new survey showing that voters across the political spectrum are united on this issue: 82% view money in politics as a serious threat to democracy, and 77% support a constitutional amendment allowing reasonable limits on election spending. Voters from all sides are ready to take back control from special interests. 🇺🇸 Read our recent press release to learn more about this growing consensus among Americans: https://lnkd.in/emEw5psQ
