Every year around this time, family and friends gather together to celebrate Thanksgiving. It's also around this time where people slow down and reflect on exactly what brings them the most gratitude. While I prepare to celebrate one of my favorite holidays, I want to share three of life's most valuable treasures which we can all be grateful for this year. You can read all about it in my article below: https://lnkd.in/eV5VxygX

How was your Thanksgiving — filled with laughter, love, and connection, or memorable for all the wrong reasons? Across the country, families gathered around turkey and dressing, sharing stories and giving thanks for their blessings. But not everyone’s Thanksgiving was picture-perfect. Some faced the bittersweet absence of loved ones, family tensions, or obstacles that kept them apart. Even if this year wasn’t all you hoped for, think back to the moments that shaped you — joyful or challenging. Those experiences taught you lessons, shaped your values, and instilled a wisdom that defines who you are today. That hard-earned wisdom and the values you hold dear are the foundation of your legacy. Imagine the impact those stories and lessons could have on your children, grandchildren, and beyond. Preserving them isn’t just about reflection — it’s about making sure the best of you lives on. This holiday season, take a moment to reflect: What stories, lessons, and values are you thankful for? How will you ensure they’re remembered? Your legacy deserves to be treasured.

Happy 4th of July from our team to you! As we gather to celebrate Independence Day with family and friends, let's not forget our furry companions! Here are some tips to keep your pets safe and calm during the festivities: 🎇 Create a Safe Space: Make sure your pets have a quiet, comfortable place to retreat away from the noise. 🐶 Keep Them Indoors: Fireworks can be frightening for pets. Keep them indoors and secure windows and doors. 🐱 Update ID Tags: Ensure your pets' ID tags and microchip information are up to date, just in case they get scared and run off. 🐾 Avoid Fireworks: Never use fireworks around pets. They can cause severe burns and trauma. 🎆 Watch the BBQ: Be mindful of what your pets eat. Certain foods can be harmful to them. Wishing everyone a safe and joyful 4th of July!

How about being kind to one another? How about showing love and understanding? How about listening to what others have to say? How about expressing how much we value and appreciate each other? Qualities that may fade away if they are not practiced meaningfully. So how about we start showing that those qualities are much more valuable than receiving physical gifts? How about we introduce a gift-free Christmas and birthday cultures (from time to time)? Adults have the responsibility to help children learn how to connect with one another, to appreciate and show kindness, and to create joyful memories. So let the holiday season be the time to make this happen.

Rewriting Holiday Traditions: A Non-Traditional Thanksgiving Thanksgiving has always been a big deal for many—filled with family, food, and festive traditions. But for me, it’s never been quite like that. For most of my life, I’ve struggled with the pressure to celebrate in a "traditional" way, but over time, I’ve realized that what matters most is creating a holiday that reflects my needs and values. In my latest blog post, I share my journey toward embracing a non-traditional Thanksgiving, letting go of societal expectations, and learning to celebrate on my own terms. If you’ve ever felt the weight of trying to meet others’ expectations during the holidays, or struggled to make peace with family traditions that don’t serve you, this post is for you. I’m challenging myself (and you) to be intentional about how we spend this time of year—whether it’s with loved ones or in much-needed solitude. After all, self-care isn’t selfish; it’s essential. Check out the full post to learn how to experience Thanksgiving on your own terms. https://lnkd.in/g6dTxg29
