We mentioned it recently but now it is official: Skeleton Technologies will expand in Estonia and invest over 33 M EUR in hydrogen-specific R&D for mobility and heavy-duty applications. This project is part of the pan-European hydrogen programme Hy2Move, in which, in addition to Skeleton, industrial giants such as Airbus, BMW and Michelin participate. We are very grateful to benefit from the support of the Estonian government. Skeleton has expanded across Europe, but we are and will remain an Estonian company. Pan-European cooperation is necessary if Europe wants to compete with the US and China. Estonian software and engineering talent, paired with the burgeoning hydrogen ecosystem, offers a great growth opportunity for us. The Hy2Move IPCEI has been prepared by seven Member States: Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Slovakia and Spain, to foster collaboration between European companies and support innovation across the entire hydrogen mobility value chain. They will provide up to €1.4 billion in public funding, which should leverage a further €3.3 billion in private investment.

Our CEO, @Robin von Plettenberg, gave an inspiring speech at one of the world's most advanced R&D and production centers for stack manufacturing. Our Gigahub is a testament for our commitment towards a future powered by green hydrogen.   Robin also officially revealed our new name: Quest One. This name reflects our mission on three levels: 1)   Our commitment to addressing the climate crisis - the greatest challenge of our generation. 2)   Tackling this challenge with hydrogen, the first element in the periodic table, where 'one' also symbolizes hydrogen 3)   Our company ambition to reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by 1% by 2050. Today, Green Energy Park | Global pitched a captivating presentation about its ambitious green hydrogen production project in Piauí, Brazil: ◾ Green Energy Park Piauí is a state-of-the-art green hydrogen production plant on 310 hectares of dedicated land in the special economic zone of Parnaiba, Brazil. ◾ With an impressive 10.8 GW electrolyzer capacity, this facility aims to produce the cheapest renewable hydrogen in the world. ◾The magic happens in Brazil’s State of Piauí, where natural conditions allow for the lowest-cost green hydrogen production globally. ◾ But that’s not all! GEP’s green hydrogen will be transported to a hub in Krk island, Croatia, and distributed to various ports worldwide, serving industrial contractors. Green Energy park is an international company that holds 25 % of Lithuanian capital. To me it serves as a success story to incline more Lithuanian business to dive into unexplored markets and play their part in global development. After learning more about the project in Brazil, I am even more prompted to drive positive change in Lithuanian's green innovations for development cooperation goals. As I explore my project with Kurk Lietuvai (Create Lithuania) on fostering Lithuanian green innovations in development cooperation it's becoming more and more clear that more success stories, actionable roadmaps and support is needed to propel Lithuania's green solutions' ascent on the global stage! ⚙

🚀🌿 Innovative Solutions with Begonia Project! 🌿🚀 🔋 Tackling the intermittency of renewable energy sources and their impact on the grid as well as cross border commute and charging of electric vehicles🔋 Project #BEGONIA is an #EnergyDataSpaces project underpinning development of Operational Digital Platforms (ODPs) to support cross-sector issues involving energy, transport and telecom sectors. This is especially crucial in cross-country scenarios where the current traditional solution to the problem can be very costly and difficult. 🌍💰 Let's look at a commute I am personally familiar with. Schengen has opened the borders for free market, including labour market to flourish in EU. For instance, there are commuters traveling from Slovakia 🇸🇰, Hungary 🇭🇺 or even Slovenia 🇸🇰 to Austria 🇦🇹 often on a daily basis for work as Austria serves as an economic hub of CEE region. These drivers have very different charging and commute patterns than their typical city-bound counterparts who go to work and charge overnight at home. How can we support them, while reducing emissions and helping them save money? One of our proposed scenarios in #BEGONIA we are looking at, observes critical factors affecting energy production (such as weather patterns) 🌦️ and energy consumption (like peak commuter traffic hours) 🚗. Using machine learning algorithms, we predict the impact of these factors, enabling better optimization on both the production and consumption sides. 📊🤖 Together with our partners in BEGONIA and in Blueprint we have been discussing: 🔹 Development of ODPs that underpin smart, sustainable, and scalable EV charging solutions, facilitating seamless cross-border mobility for EV users. 🔹 Incorporation of smart charging technology and renewable energy to alleviate the strain on electrical grids. 🔹 Implementing different pricing models in cross-border regions, including dynamic pricing models to make new services accessible and economical. https://lnkd.in/eg4btr_D The Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, has taken stock of the different PERTEs managed by his department, with a special emphasis on the automotive industry and the decarbonisation of production processes. The Council of Ministers has approved a Royal Decree regulating the direct granting of a subsidy to the company Cobra Solutions for an amount of 150 million euros, for the execution of the Green Cobra project, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan. The project aims to develop a complete green hydrogen supply chain in Spain, including the production, storage, transportation and distribution of hydrogen, said the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu, at the press conference following the Council of Ministers. This project, which will be located in Cartagena and Castellón, is defined by the EU as an Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) and, therefore, the RD determines that the reasons that accredit the public, social and economic interest for the granting of this subsidy of 150 million euros are met. The project foresees investments by Cobra of 742 million euros, and is estimated to have an impact on employment of around more than 500 direct jobs, and more than 600 indirect jobs. “We estimate a reduction in CO2 emissions during hydrogen production of one million tons over the life of the project,” according to Hereu.
