✨ 🍀 Lucky 7! ✨ Time flies, and last week, I marked my 7th year at Kistler Group. Looking at my friends, one could say that staying at the same company for seven years might be a little too long. But hey – I realized that you can find motivation and curiosity to explore new topics everywhere and at all times. 🦄 In these seven years, I belonged to different teams, reported to different managers (shortly even directly to the CEO!) and got to know #Kistler from many different perspectives. Thanks to this, my Kistler-network became bigger and I am still amazed how many experts, talents and inspiring colleagues there are around me. Colleagues driven by their passion to tackle complex issues, or seeking answers and solutions to make our daily business life easier, and for me the biggest heroes – the ones concurring excel reports with ease every day! You all rock! 🙌 🎢 Our job can often feel like a rollercoaster. However, the nice thing is that it is up to us to choose the right booster for our ride. And for myself, it's been working with people that inspire me and make me want to learn from them as much as possible. All things must end, in 2024 I embrace a new frontier. 🚀 After eight and a half remarkable years, I bid farewell to Aqualung Group. It has been an extraordinary ride, filled with unforgettable experiences, personal growth, and exciting challenges. My journey has been nothing short of amazing with my final role being the collimation of this intense voyage. I had the immense privilege of leading a dedicated global team of product managers, marketing experts, and technical people for the MILPRO division. Together, we celebrated many wins, learned valuable lessons from a few losses, but the team implemented the global strategy I drew up and we successfully accomplished the set of exceptional goals demanded of us. § We created a completely new global website and social profile for the division. § We built GTM campaigns for our extensive product portfolio. § We established a product document repository to include all global products. § For the 1st time in the division history, we established a global product management process. § We rationalised our product portfolio to a key targeted offering for each region. § I was a key participant in the creation of the division’s TOM [targeted operating model] another 1st § I constructed a set of global strategies and the process to achieve them. So, I take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude to all the incredible colleagues, mentors, and friends I have met during my time at Aqualung. Their unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation and fun was a constant source of inspiration for me. As I jump into this exciting new chapter, I look forward to staying connected with each of you as we continue to make a positive impact in the industry. Thank you for being a part of my journey, and here is to new beginnings and the adventures that lie ahead! Finally, the timing is right for me to explore new frontiers and seek fresh challenges. I joined Luno 6 months ago and what a privilege it has been. It is quite literally one of the most dynamic companies I've been a part of. I am constantly trying to build a puzzle which has different pieces every other day. I am big on reflection. I wanted to share 6 things I've learnt in the 6 months I've been with Luno: 1. Healthy teams are built through intentional connection. Teams where we genuinely want each other to succeed. If the table is not big enough, we build another table. We make room for growth. 🌴 2. Ask the right questions. Ask the wrong questions. Ask. 🤓 You won't find the answers to the questions you never ask in a room full of people who want to help. 3. Be afraid. Be shaking in your boots 👢 and do it anyway. 4. You're about 6 presentations away from another presentation where you'll feel like you're doing it all again, for the first time. Embrace the unknown. 5. Don't question the quiet. The next busy season is about one slack message away. 📱 Use the thinking space so you can move fast in the noise. 6. Rest. The project won't crumble over night. Hopefully - I'm still practicing this one. Your team, your family, your people need you. Rest so they can have the best you. Here's to the next 6 months. Today marks 5 years of my association with Zetwerk, a company that’s become a part of my identity. But more than the number of years, it’s the remarkable journey I’ve been on that I’m most proud of. I joined Zetwerk as the 97th employee when we were doing business worth approximately $3 million at that time. Today, we’re a global team of 2500+ members, and our sales revenue crossed over $2 billion last year. When I joined, the North America business didn’t exist. I was the second person to be inducted into our North America expansion team, tasked with building it from scratch. Today, we’re generating over $300 million from this geography! Throughout the challenges of Covid, we found opportunities when there seemed to be none. From sourcing surgical masks and PPE kits to expanding our supplier network across India, Vietnam, Mexico, and other emerging geographies, we emerged as a global leader in manufacturing services. Witnessing the transformation towards "Make in India" and becoming a global manufacturing hub at Zetwerk is a daily inspiration. I've experienced in 5 years what most professionals don’t in their entire careers, and I’m incredibly grateful for this journey. But it feels like we’ve only just begun, and I'm more excited than ever for what lies ahead. 5 years down, a lifetime to go.
