Because ferrite is fragile, it can only be used with an aluminum alloy bracket. It is also resistant to high temperatures, but is cheaper than NdFeB material. It is the most cost-effective encoder magnetic ring.

I share the results of the application of a pulsating amplitude-phase modulated magnetic field at semi-continuous 7inch billet air-slip casting in frequency range of 0~15 Hz on microstructure of aluminum alloy 7075. To evaluate the physical magnetohydrodynamic effect in its pure form, no microstructural modifiers such as titanium or zirconium were used. Grinding of the microstructure is effective at increasing to 15 Hz, but at the further increasing - the reverse effect is more likely - the phenomenon of damping and adsorption of hydrodynamic waves in a liquid-phase sump in a billet. AF modulation - had a carrier frequency at the level of 15-35 Hz and a pulse component from 5 to 15 Hz, with a magnetic field intensity of no more than 0.1T.
