This might be an unpopular opinion incoming but…. STOP LUMPING OFFICE MANAGER AND EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT ROLES TOGETHER!!! ❌ They are not the same skill set ❌ Its not an easy fix for covering two roles The minute you add anything else to an EA's role spec, it means you’re taking away from there ability to have a deeper impact to those they support. To be honest, the same goes for giving 1 EA 4 Exec’s to support and wondering why they’re not able to go deeper and do more than “just” the basics. But that's a rant for another day! I know I know, every business is different… But would you hire 1 person to be “Marketing Executive and Customer Success Manager”? No, you wouldn’t. Because they’re 2 different roles.
