Cool air of air conditioning within common man's reach" Conventional air conditioning is used to bring cool, clean air into the building, however, its power consumption is very high.Middle class people can't afford operating costs. I along with my guide reserached literature to overcome this issue. To get clean, cool and natural air, at affordable cost was the challenge in this study. This is resolved by studying the passive down draft evaporative cooling system(PDECS) that is being used in Iran and other countries. An hybrid model for PDEC system (HPDEC) is designed and tested under hot climatic conditions for three consecutive years. This system uses very low electrical power and operates silently and digitally controlled. This will be a low cost alternative for air cooling needs using meagre power. A patent registered and Intellectual property office,Government of India Patent No. 445924, dated 19/08/2023, has been granted.
