“Behind the scenes” and all smiles. The focus of the day, Conflict Management! I spent time facilitating an essentials skills session with the Project MPACT students at Malcolm X College. They assessed their conflict management style, explored how it applied to the workplace, and discussed barriers (perceived and concrete) to conflict management in the workplace. Understanding how we navigate conflict and how we came to understand conflict management is a crucial life skill for all of us. How To Improve How Your Team Manages Conflict I'm really pleased that I've just completed the Thomas-Kilmann Advanced Training in Conflict Management (very proud of my certificate 😀) At Flourish we love helping teams improve the way they manage conflict. The concepts of managing and resolving conflicts are often associated with negative perceptions. Conflict is not a one-time occurrence but a continuous process that requires constant attention.
