This is why we had to break Bangalore into three parts. Due to excessive traffic and limited capacity, we used to face challenges in maintaining our SLAs and running our day-to-day operations. Our orders in Bangalore have been increasing at 30% MoM. We used to serve entire Bangalore from our single hub in HSR. This meant increased burden on our operations team & delivery partners and sometimes, delayed deliveries & customer experience also got impacted. To counter this problem, we have now divided Bangalore into three hubs. We have onboarded a lot of new plant sellers across Bangalore & distributed our delivery partners across these three regions. With this quick tweak in operations, we have managed to overcome all our challenges & come closer to our customers. Yesterday, I commented on Aryan Trivedi's post about making Kannada mandatory in Karnataka. I wrote this comment. " When you visit Germany, they speak German, and in Japan, they speak Japanese, as do other countries that prioritize their native language. The European Union includes many languages, such as Spanish, French, Italian, Polish, and German. Many companies in the country request profiles in their native language, but in India, everyone is expected to speak Hindi. If I am in northern India, I plan to learn Hindi. How many Bangaloreans are familiar with Kannda? Why are you not considering the south of India? Most of them say only Mumbai and Pune." It was discovered that the majority of North Indians in Hindi-speaking states believe Hindi to be the national language. They believe that everyone learns Hindi. and imposing on other states. when they travel outside India. They will communicate in the country's languages. They are willing to learn the language of the country, but in India, no one is willing to learn any South Indian language. The Indian constitution recognizes 22 languages as official. In the past, the central government imposed a backlash on Tamil Nadu. There have been many protests in Tamil Nadu. Anyone has the right to learn any language; however, imposing it on them is wrong. I will quote a proverb: "When in Rome, do as the Romans do." Meaning is to the importance of adapting yourself to the customs of the people who are in a certain place or situation and behave like them. They are not taking into account the languages of the South and the Northeast. Finally, Hindi is not the national language. #language #Hindiimpostion #tamil

Yesterday I attended NHRD Bangalore Chapter's Thought Leadership Meet on #ExecutiveSearch - The Changing Landscapes. Luckily I was in Bengaluru and on leave, so able to make the best of this. There were 2 people I was so happy to reconnect with in-person after a long time: panel member Madhu Vasudevan & our session moderator Dr. S. Naga Siddharth 🙋♀️. Happy to connect with many new people this time & have some interesting conversations over networking. Crisp & immersive #paneldiscussion kept the audience hooked. Some strong trends noticed: increase in people returning to India to be part of this growth story, upsurge in #GCCs & other sectors to look out for, evolving role of CXOs into business partnering, #hyperspecialization (some great examples here) and what boards look for in #CXO candidates. My personal take-away: I have supported Strategic Recruitment in one of my earlier stints, so this was an enlightening talk. But I was more struck by how I am able to bring hyper-personalization at my level to de-risk renege possibility: As a hiring manager, I made it my personal policy to meet the candidates before they join - make them comfortable, answer their questions and build confidence: 100% effective every single hire so far! I can only imagine the benefits at CXO levels!! If we had the time, I had 2 questions for the panel: what change do you notice in what the CXO candidates look for from the board? And whether we ever see a 'work from anywhere' CXO mandate from the board?#justsomemusings 😀 #NHRDBengaluru
