Proactive Results-oriented pro. with the comprehensive and transferrable skill set. 🔹Supply Chain 🔹 Food 🔹 FMCG 🔹 Energy🔹 Mining
The challenges facing Airbus and rival Boeing Co. are caused not by slack demand for its products, but rather a supply chain that’s been severely stretched for years. Airbus has long warned of the issue after the pandemic first upended the global aviation industry and then left it unprepared once air travel came roaring back. What’s new is the breadth of the problem, with Chief Executive Officer Guillaume Faury saying that engine shortages are now coming up as the latest pinch point. Airbus CEO said in an interview earlier in June that any supply issues might persist for the next 2-3 years. Faury cautioned on Monday that economic and geopolitical challenges are contributing to the situation and are here to stay “for a while.” Airbus cites “complex and sophisticated products” that created development risks. As a result, Airbus said it will “evaluate all strategic options such as potential restructuring, cooperation models, portfolio review and M&A options.” #airlines #transportation #logistics #supplychainriskmanagement #supplychainplanning #businessstrategy #investmentstrategy

Airbus has published its 2023 results confirming plans to “ramp up” productions in the coming years and complete even more ambitious delivery targets. However, the Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury insisted in the company’s live press conference on February 15, 2024, that it will never compromise “quantity over quality” during production. In its 2023 results Airbus confirmed that the A220 ramp up continues with projections for a monthly production rate of 14 aircraft in 2026. 🛫 Airbus H1 2024 Delivery Update 🛫 Airbus has released its first-half 2024 performance figures, and they paint an intriguing picture of resilience amidst ongoing challenges. Here's what you need to know: 📊 Key Numbers: • 323 aircraft delivered (2% YoY increase) • 327 gross orders secured • 310 net orders after cancellations 🔍 Behind the Numbers: Despite the uptick in deliveries, Airbus is grappling with persistent supply chain issues. These challenges have led to two significant adjustments: 1. Revised 2024 delivery target: 770 aircraft (down from 800) 2. Delayed A320neo family production ramp-up to 75 jets/month (now 2027, previously 2026) 💡 Industry Implications: These developments highlight the complex dynamics at play in the aerospace sector. While demand remains robust, manufacturers are navigating a delicate balance between ambitious production goals and supply chain realities. 🔮 Looking Ahead: As the industry continues its recovery, Airbus's ability to adapt will be crucial. The coming months will reveal whether these adjustments are sufficient to address ongoing challenges. #AerospaceIndustry #SupplyChainChallenges #AirbusUpdate

Airbus is building a new A320neo-family assembly line in Toulouse to replace an older facility and boost production efficiency. This is part of Airbus' strategy to modernize and meet rising demand. Last year, Airbus added an A321neo production line in the former A380 facility, bringing Toulouse's narrow-body lines to two, with a global total of eight. Airbus plans to expand this to ten by adding capacity in the US and China. The new line, set to be operational in 2025, highlights Airbus' focus on addressing supply chain issues and ramping up A320neo production. #Airbus #A320neo #A321neo #Aviation #Toulouse #ProductionExpansion #AerospaceIndustry
