#WordsofWisdom Imagine a world where, instead of increasing conflict and polarisation, respect for difference and lasting peace was the norm. As #innovators and #entrepreneurs how are we building #respectfordifference into our technologies, products and businesses? Imagine if #peace was a design parameter...part of the value proposition. Something to think about .....

"In this talk, one of the greatest geopolitical thinkers of today, author of groundbreaking books on the history of the Soviet Union and Central and Eastern Europe, and most recently the monumental biography of Joseph Stalin, STEPHEN KOTKIN, will set out a series of propositions to help us understand the contemporary world order, the key trends, the inflection points, and the ways that policymakers could intervene to shape the direction in which the world will go. In conversation with IWM Permanent Fellow IVAN KRASTEV, he will look at the current geopolitical moment in historical perspective." #Internationalrelations #History #Politics #geopolitical #contemporaryworld #diplomacy #Internationalconflict

Do you know the difference between wisdom and ego? 🧠 Wisdom: “I have a lot of questions to ask and am always learning." 😎 Ego: “I have a lot of answers, resist change, and do not want to learn anything new." Let’s dive in, shall we? 🧠 Wisdom: Jane goes to a tech conference, eager to soak up new ideas. She’s all about asking questions and evolving with the industry. 🚀 Where will Jane be in 10 years? Leading a multibillion company. 😎 Ego: John thinks he’s the guru of tech. New ideas? No thanks! He’s too busy holding onto his “expert” status. 🙅♂️ Where will John be? Leading himself to work and back. So, what about you? Are you team 🧠 or team 😎? Remember: you learn from your team mates and those around you. Risk. Make mistakes. Ask. Help. Learn. Repeat. Move on already 🔁 #AlwaysLearning #GrowthMindset #StayCurious #Leadership #Inspiration Thank you credits Omar Halabieh for the inspiration. VassiliaOrfanou.com ludci

In this short presentation, I took a bit of time to introduce Plato's Philebus dialogue and the historical roots of the false dichotomy shaped by the hedonists vs the utilitarian schools of thought. The purpose of Plato's lesser known dialogue (on how to judge the Good) resolves this dispute using an insight that was discovered by Cicero (who rejected both Epicureans and Stoics alike) as well as Benjamin Franklin who set the stage for the American revolution. https://lnkd.in/dhhafuM9

The fact is that the United States is indeed still at the forefront of new ideas. However, due to various reasons that hinder its execution, and realisation is relatively low. The most important reason should be her system and institutional problems. Fortunately, Hollywood made it happen on her behalf, even if it was illusory! It is also because of Hollywood’s works that American culture has achieved around the world and that is also one of its powerful soft power. Unfortunately, its media and broadcast hegemony also makes new ideas appear as they were real from the moment they are born. From the perspective of the progress of all mankind, fortunately China has made these new ideas come true and even become more perfect. #USA #innovation #newidea #china #manufacturing #illusion #madeinchina #cometrue

You are pathetic. You are using our tax dollars. You pretend to be giving free dental, free meals for school children, free birth control, free drugs to addicts, free anything to Canadians are not free. You are creating social programs put out by your government, paid for using our tax dollars, without our consent, in hopes of making Canadians feel you, the government, is taking care of us, like you are some type of savior. WRONG!!! You, the government does not have any money of your own to pay for these social programs, the money you use to pay is our tax dollars. If we stopped paying taxes, the government would be broke. We, the tax payers pay your salary along with the salary of every government employee. You work for us, the Canadian citizens who pay your salaries. We, Canadian citizens DO NOT work for you. You work for us and we are working hard to FIRE you, all of you. Shame on all of you for corruptly and continuously abusing Canadian citizens. You have totally abused the privilege given to you by Canadians to lead our country.
Pierre Poilievre thinks he can cut his way to prosperity. He’s wrong.
