Happy to be a part of this conversation. Non-medical costs can be a significant barrier to patient participation in clinical trials. These costs can occur when no local trials are available and patients must travel to distant trial sites, or when there is a need for more frequent clinic visits for additional trial-related treatment or monitoring. Decentralized clinical trials can help alleviate some of these barriers potentially allowing for a larger and more diverse cohort of trial participants.
