Praxis recognizes that #wellness is much more than physical health – it’s a holistic integration of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. There are six commonly cited dimensions of wellness, and addressing all six may be helpful in building resilience and thriving in the face of health challenges, like #essentialtremor. In fact, research suggests that when you take a proactive role in your own health, wellness, and self-care, you’re more likely to see improved health outcomes. Here’s why you shouldn’t talk about your general health with a doctor… Relying on doctors for general health advice often results in quick fixes, like prescriptions that manage symptoms rather than addressing the deeper, underlying causes of our health issues. While doctors are vital when it comes to emergencies or acute conditions, the conventional approach doesn’t always focus on long-term, sustainable wellness. True wellness goes beyond just taking pills or following a prescribed treatment plan. It’s about understanding our bodies on a deeper level, tuning in to what they need, and prioritizing the right nutrition, movement, and lifestyle choices that nurture our health from the inside out. A holistic approach encourages us to consider not only physical symptoms but also mental, emotional, and environmental factors that contribute to our overall well-being. It’s time we take charge of our own health—empowering ourselves with knowledge and tools to live vibrant lives, instead of simply managing symptoms as they appear. #holistichealth #wellbeing #healthyliving #selfcare
