Companies expect their Background Screening Partner to help protect them, as they should! Educating them on what’s necessary to achieve that goal has always been the challenge! Seems school is always in session!!
Another great example of why background checks need to be run on all employees, especially C-Suite employees. Employers if your CRA charges extra for additional names please go ahead and pay the fee or negotiate a contract that includes additional names. After being a background investigator it is not uncommon to find criminal records under maiden names, nicknames, previous names, etc. You never want to be caught unaware of the criminal activity of an employee just because the background check wasn't thorough enough. "On Wednesday, LMH Health shared an update on the review process which was initiated by an Oct. 26 reveal that Mike Rogers -- whom LMH Health hired as CFO -- had inconsistencies regarding his identity. A day later, LMH Health said it confirmed Rogers had legally changed his name and that he’d been convicted of felonies in 2005 and 2007 under his given name of Michael Patrick Brunton."
