Throwback Thursday: I still remember the excitement in the office leading up to our very first TGT Sportsfest back in 2016.  Dr Dunk 🏀 (aka Jun Tantiado) had challenged me to basketball match, lucky for me, my recent knee surgery had put an end to that idea. Evan Spargo (MCC) took my place, while Darren Bell and Peter Hammon watched on and our first corporate sports day was underway. It was new to all of us, and we weren’t sure exactly how it would go, but we wanted to create an event that would bring everyone together in a fun and energetic way.  The Techno Global Team (TGT) Sportsfest has easily become one of our most looked-forward-to events on the calendar, the energy and competitive nature of staff has just grown and grown from that very first day.    It really shows how important it is to carve out time for fun and team bonding, especially when work can get so busy. Moments like these remind us that it’s not just about the work but about the people and the connections we build along the way.    What’s your favourite company event? THE CRITERION VALIDITY OF THE PERCH DEVICE DURING FIVE COMMONLY USED OLYMPIC WEIGHTLIFTING-DERIVATIVE EXERCISES Author: Tandia Wood Research has demonstrated that the Perch camera-based system can accurately quantify mean and peak velocity in the back squat and bench press. However, these exercises have little horizontal displacement compared to commonly used weightlifting derivatives.
