🔷 Understanding Forward Contracts: A Key Tool for Hedging ✅ A Forward Contract is a tailor-made agreement between two parties to buy or sell an asset at a specified price on a future date. ✅ Unlike standardised futures contracts, forward contracts are negotiated privately, offering flexibility but without the standardization and transparency of exchange-traded instruments. 🔷 How It Works: ✅ Two parties agree on the price today for a transaction that will occur in the future. ✅ At the contract's maturity, the seller will deliver the asset, and the buyer will pay the agreed price, regardless of how market prices have moved. 🔷 Example: ✅Imagine a coffee producer who wants to protect against falling prices. ✅They enter into a forward contract with a buyer to sell 100 tons of coffee beans at $100 per ton six months from now. ✅Whether coffee prices rise to $120 or fall to $80 per ton during this period, both the buyer and seller are locked into the contract. ✅The buyer will pay $100 per ton, and the seller will deliver at that price. ATTENTION ECONOMY . what a well articulated piece. while talking about cinema advertising, i often try to make the brand understand about these data points. In today's age, everyone is after one thing and that is ATTENTION. On traditional mediums it's very difficult for a campaign manager to understand whether the TVC has grabbed the right gaze, peripheral gaze or no gaze at all. but in mediums like CINEMA where in the control is not with the end consumer and the consumer has paid to actually watch ad during the intervals, the chances of ad avoidance becomes almost negligible and hence the medium is sucessful. Brands like lyra, manyawar, vicco , everest, Goldmedal and so many more are quite an example of how to choose and use the medium. #UFOMOVIEZ #Advertising #attention #cinemaadvertising

Physical Commodity Trading Firms are like any other businesses. They provide value to thier customers by solving problems. Usually, the problem that they solve is linked to risks, Pricing risks, International risk, Quality risk, Operational risk, etc.. New incomers often don't understand the level of risks you need to take just to be able to trade. In numerous liquid markets, you won't be able to trade back-to-back with secured payment terms; The competition is too fierce. Looking at the picture, anything below the big red line doesn't provide enough value. A lot of people say "I can't find a buyer", the reason you don't find a buyer is that you don't provide enough value. That's it. You are the A in the picture below. I can assure you that if you say to your leads "look, I'll send you a trial cargo, you can test it when it arrives at your premise, if you are happy with the quality you pay me after 30 days, if you are not, I'll take the cargo back, no charge for you." If you say this, you'll find buyers. 🤷♂️ no?
