💡 What is Flexiteek 2G? Flexiteek 2G is a synthetic material mainly used as a deck covering solution. Inspired by natural teak, a tropical tree, it reproduces its appearance while offering superior performance, greater durability and longer life. ♻️ What is it made of and how is it manufactured? Flexiteek 2G is made from 2G polymer granules and phthalate-free plasticizers. The use of phthalate-free plasticizers is essential, as these substances, when produced and released into the environment, can cause numerous health problems due to their toxicity. Phthalate-containing plastics are very persistent, difficult to degrade and accumulate easily, disrupting aquatic and terrestrial ecosystems. Flexiteek 2G is manufactured using high-precision extrusion and metering equipment, which ensures color homogeneity and creates a naturally irregular woodgrain effect, as close as possible to the appearance of real wood. Panels are then manufactured from profiles or planks, similar to teak decks. These panels then undergo vinyl welding, guaranteeing a stronger joint, and giving them their final shape. 🚤 Where can I find Flexiteek 2G on Delphia? All our models, in every range, are designed with Flexiteek 2G covering most of the exterior surfaces of the boats, to ensure safe circulation on board. ➡️ Delphia is a brand resolutely focused on respect for the environment. We would like to implement as many recyclable elements as possible, like Flexiteek 2g. Discover, in 4 points, why Flexiteek 2G is a good alternative ⬇️ #DelphiaYachts #MindfulCruising #expert Flexiteek International

𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗿𝗮 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗨𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗶𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝘂𝗽𝗮 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 To curb CO2 emissions and global warming, the transition from fossil carbon to renewable carbon is crucial. With their promising potential, bio-based adhesives could serve as a beacon of hope in our transition toward a more sustainable future. They are a promising complement to traditional dispersion-based adhesives and could significantly improve the environmental performance of paper-based packaging. However, many bio-based adhesives and conversion technologies are still at the experimental or pilot stage, posing significant challenges to industrial implementation and uncertain decision-making. Starch, a natural and abundant polysaccharide derived from various sources such as corn, wheat, tapioca, and potatoes, is increasingly used in industrial applications, including papermaking. Starch also has a negligible impact on the recycling of paper-based packaging. Starch has been used as an adhesive since ancient Egyptian times and is still used for bonding flexible, unstressed paper packaging. However, due to its low initial tack and long setting time, it is unsuitable for high-speed packaging machines such as folder-gluers. It can only be used to a limited extent for bonding rigid packaging due to the bending stiffness of the packaging. The Sugra project aims to overcome these limitations and improve the performance of the starch adhesive for a broader range of packaging applications. For the first time, the #SUGRA project will not only optimize the adhesive, but also the Baumer hhs application system simultaneously to achieve optimal performance. This ongoing research, which holds potential for the industry, will be unveiled at drupa on 𝗝𝘂𝗻𝗲 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 𝗮𝘁 𝟭:𝟯𝟬 𝗽𝗺 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺 (𝗖𝗖𝗗), 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺 𝟭𝟯. Upcycling chemistry meets innovative coatings The coatings industry has adopted a steady pace on its transition towards more bio-based, carbon-friendly and resource-efficient solutions. Whereas this journey can be somewhat challenging in the field of technical coatings, there is certainly a myriad of opportunities in the decorative market segment. Binder systems from plant-based sources have replaced a great deal of fossil-derived resins, and a variety of degradable, natural pigments have gained presence beyond niche applications. As far as texturing and reinforcement are concerned, the industry has conventionally used mineral particles. Hardness and resistance paired with appealing white shades and competitive pricing have made them an unquestioned top choice for most manufacturers. Only recently, plant-based alternatives have awakened innovators’ curiosity. “Creating a fully bio-based particle that meets – and even exceeds – the requirements of modern coatings, both in terms of technical features and value-for-money has been quite a process”, explains Kathrin Schilling, founder and director of BioPowder. Today, the complex composition of multi-material structures, composed of various polymers and non-polymer components, hinders efficient sorting and often results in contamination, ultimately reducing the quality and profitability of recycled materials. A #packaging structure is classified as a mono-material if it consists of only one basic raw material, such as #PE or #PP. It can be composed of several layers of film, each of which performs different packaging functions. #TaghleefIndustries offers a transformative approach to improving the #recyclability of #FlexiblePackaging and presents an interesting way forward to promote the #sustainability. Choosing to #reDESIGN™ the traditional packaging structure with Taghleef's service allows for simplification of the #recycling process, and promotes a more #CircularEconomy while maintaining the functionality that consumers and manufacturers rely on.
