Sharing a great reminder from Ben Askins! (Pictured) ‘Happy workers are 13% more productive.’ It’s good for humans, business and the world to take great care of people in the workforce. Bottom line, happy people perform better for your business. Simple ways we’re seeing amazing leaders support a happy team this summer: 1. Leaders taking real vacation offline from work to recharge and that provide the psychically safe space for your team to do the same - this is so important!! 2. How we gather - The days of happy hour as a means for creating culture are over, ask your team what they want to do / how they want to spend time together … Happyly is loving volunteer activities, scavenger hunts, themed lunch clubs with table topics for meaningful discussion, and hikes these days. Simple activities that are good for mental health, physical health, connection and the world. 3. Connect as humans. Before jumping into a meeting, ask how someone is doing… for real… like, how are you really doing? What’s bringing you joy right now? Peoplehood Ben Askins & Saïd Business School, University of Oxford thanks for the share Alan Guarino !

💕Good Morning Lovers! 💕Valentines Day is my FAVORITE holiday (next to Easter)…here’s some tips on surviving it in the workplace: ❤️ Enjoy the work you do and understand, though it be rewarding, it can never fully love you back ❤️ Be kind to your team. Not everyone has great examples of love or receive it daily, a shout out and recognizing some efforts can go a long way to make someone’s day! ❤️ If you and your partner work together in any capacity SET BOUNDARIES. Understand there may be some tough moments, create a safe space that isn’t your personal space, and don’t let anything external get in the way of what matters most! Am I forgetting anything? 🤔 #BetterTogether #PeopleFirst #Partnerships #BlackWomenLead #WomenInProjectManagement

🌱 **Rethinking Gifting Culture: A Psychological Perspective** 🌱 As we grow more mindful of our actions, it's worth questioning the cultural practices we’ve inherited. The act of gifting flowers, though a beautiful gesture, often involves the unconscious sacrifice of a living being for momentary joy. Instead of following traditions that harm nature, let's explore ways of nurturing happiness that align with kindness and sustainability. True fulfillment lies in creating joy without causing harm. Let’s start conversations about meaningful gifting that resonates with compassion and care for all living things. #MentalHealth #SustainableLiving #KindnessMatters #PsychologicalWellness #CorporateCulture #EmotionalIntelligence

🌞 Good morning from a misty CPT! It's Wednesday, the midpoint of our week, and we're powering through with full steam ahead! 💪 As your friendly Senior People Partner, I've been thinking... We often talk about 'synergy' and 'alignment' in our workspaces. But have you ever considered the synergy between coffee and productivity? ☕ I mean, they should probably give coffee its own spot on the org chart, right? 😂 On a more serious note, I've been reflecting on the power of empathy in our roles. Empathy isn't just about understanding people's feelings. It's about acknowledging them, validating them, and remembering that behind every task, every project, there's a human being. So, here's my mid-week challenge for you: Take a moment today to appreciate the humans behind the work. A simple 'thank you' or 'good job' can make a world of difference!! Remember, we're not just creating products or services, we're building a community. And in these communities, every person matters. Happy Wednesday, everyone! Let's make it a great one! #WednesdayWisdom #PeopleFirst #CoffeeLovers #EmpathyInAction

CLOSING THE GAP... As the seasons begin to shift and the crisp air reminds us that change is inevitable (and even beautiful), I’m reminded of a powerful quote by Dame Maggie Smith: "Ask yourself about the kind of life you want: What would you do day to day, and with whom, and where? Consider the life you have. Do one thing today, however small, to close the gap between the two." This sentiment feels especially timely as we reflect on the news of her recent passing... Immediately, I was taken to the first time I remember watching her on screen (welcoming Peter Pan back home as Miss Wendy and her sharp wit and firm yet kind support of Sister Mary Clarence in Sister Act), and perhaps the last (watching the magic of Harry Potter while snuggled in with my family). It also got me thinking... How am I closing the gap each day? Sometimes, the gap between our current life and the one we envision feels overwhelming...because, some days even the clean laundry pile (mountain) staring at us from the corner of the couch feels overwhelming. Here's the beautiful thing. These steps however large or small aren't meant to take alone. Being part of a true community of belonging helps us not only close these gaps, they help us find the gaps in the first place, AND stand, walk and sit there with us. That's where something like a mastermind group comes along. These groups and communities offer us the chance to connect deeply, share insights, and hold each other accountable as we each work toward our own vision of a fulfilling life. There’s something truly special about journeying through seasons of growth together—knowing that even the smallest actions, done in good company, can lead to incredible transformation. As the world outside changes, I encourage you to think about how you can take one small step today to bridge the life you have with the life you want. And maybe, (if you haven't already!) consider the power of community as a companion on that path. Closing the gap. -Amie #Community #BetterTogether #StrongerTogether #MastermindGroups #MyNetwork #WhoIsInYourNetwork #ClosingTheGap #MaggieSmith #EmergeConsulting #TogetherWeEmerge
