Medicare Health insurance broker for Missouri, Kansas and Ohio. Author of The Book Qadree El-Amin A Man. Behind the scenes manager mogul of the stars dangerous and glamorous life from Newark New Jersey.
Hi Morgan No we are not Proud of Mayor Lucas. Repealing NEW ORDINANCE TO CODE BOOKS ORDINANCE NO. 230401 Amending Chapter 3, Code of Ordinances, by repealing Section 3-431, “Setting Goals for Individual Contracts” and enacting in lieu thereof a new section of like number and subject matter regulating the application of numeric MBE/WBE goals on certain projects leased for development or receiving economic development incentives or tax abatement. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF KANSAS CITY: 2. Ignoring the letter from The Kcmo Fairness Board Chairman & Fairness Committee regarding Civil Rights violations ? Harrasment of minority contractors ? inadequate reporting from Kcmo CREO department ? No Disparity report for 9 years and more ? 2016 Disparity Report below: Department of I think 1.2 minority [participation] and 2.5 WBE [participation], when there was adequate availability of minority and women contractors to meet the City’s standard kind of goal of 15 [percent] and 7 [percent]. They’re diluting the opportunity for minority and women contractors when it comes through the statutory business development organizations, all of whom have different sets of rules..… There ought to be a uniform code that is incorporated in all the development agreements which people in our community never see.… There’s a disconnect. And I realize they’re trying to change some of that now but the insulting part of it was there was more money spent through statutory agencies last year for contracting activities than there were through City departments.… It’s obviously developer driven. By the time we see it the development agreement has already been executed. Caused lack of capital for Jackson County schools and libraries. Mayor Lucas and Insult to African Americans everywhere?
Grateful to Quinton Lucas for the opportunity to serve my community and for the strong trust we’ve placed in each other since day one. We’ve accomplished a lot the past five years, and I hope we’ve made Kansas City proud. Under the mayor’s leadership, I know our City government will remain bold, caring and creative. How special it’s been to be part of it all. Reid Day, you’re up next! We’re all rooting for you.

To celebrate National Funeral Director and Mortician Recognition Day, #OGR caught up with members to chat about why they are so passionate for #FuneralService. Today, we talked to Geri Oliverie from Oliverie Funeral Home in Manchester, New Jersey: What made you become a funeral director? The social aspect, the gathering is so important to me. We all weave a thread in others’ life quilts. It’s nice to see the completed quilt and pay your respects to a life well lived. What is your greatest reward for being a funeral director? Growing as a compassionate person and helping others. Being a part of something larger and more important than me. Giving my family an example to help others.

This week is National Estate Planning Awareness Week, and an opportunity for each of us to listen to God’s call for us to be good stewards of the gifts He has given us. The Catechism reminds us that we should care for both our families and the common good. Begin by asking yourself How much is enough for my own family, and for the common good? How can I create a legacy that will bless the generations to come while supporting my parish, school or the ministries I love within my own Catholic community? Here are 4 ways The Catholic Church helps us to think about what’s right for us, for the greater good, and my spiritual family. 🌟Embracing Renewal and Hope: The Journey of Reentry🌟 At Indiana Reentry Corporation we believe in the transformative power of community and faith. As we support individuals reentering society after incarceration, we draw inspiration from the timeless words of Scripture that remind us of the hope and renewal available to everyone. ✨ 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." This verse encapsulates the essence of our mission. Every person has the opportunity for a fresh start, shedding the burdens of the past and stepping into a future filled with possibilities. 🌈 In Jeremiah 29:11, God reassures us, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." This promise of hope is crucial for those navigating the challenges of reentry. Our community is dedicated to providing the support and resources needed to help individuals envision and achieve their expected end—a life filled with dignity, purpose, and peace. 🤝 Reflecting on Matthew 25:36, we are reminded of our call to action: "I was in prison, and ye came unto me." Our commitment is to create a non-judgmental environment where individuals feel seen, valued, and supported. Together, we can provide the mentorship and resources necessary to facilitate healing and restoration. As we move forward, let us unite in compassion and understanding, supporting those on their journey to renewal. Together, we can foster communities that uplift, empower, and transforms lives. Join us in this mission and help us spread the message of hope and renewal. 💙 #IndianaReentry #Hope #Renewal #CommunitySupport #Transformation #FaithInAction #CommunitySupport #TogetherWeRise #StrongerTogether #BuildingBridges #SupportSystems #WeCanChangeLives #RiseAbove
