I have started my momtrepreneur journey almost 5 years ago, I am proud of the mission I gave to myself, and what I have achieved, but what I am the most proud of, is doing this with my co-founder Melanie Dao-Ellena since we relaunched RE.LOVED a few months ago. After finding my amazing partner, I am happy to announce that in just 1.5 month (from designing to coding) we have been able to launch our e-commerce website to complement the existing RE.LOVED app. It was my first time designing a website so it was a lot of back and forth, I had to take in consideration the current tech environment of our app, so both could share the same backend. In other words it was an intensive work during 6 weeks, but at the end, I feel so proud and happy of what we have achieved together with the team. The good news is that I have improved a lot my tech expertise and have learnt a new skill: Figma. What will be the next milestone and new skill? Everybody knows Greg Isenberg, and if you don't you should go check out his content. It's great. When I first came across his studio, Late Checkout, I instantly was obsessed with his website. (No this isn't a DTC brand) Here is why: Bold Visuals: The use of vibrant colors and large typography grabs attention. Clear Messaging: The site clearly communicates their services and value proposition. User Experience: Smooth navigation and interactive elements enhance user engagement. Portfolio Showcase: The projects are displayed prominently, showcasing their work effectively. Why It All Matters: Studios like Late Checkout show that a strong brand identity is about more than just aesthetics. It's about having a solid strategy, distinctive visuals, user-friendly design, compelling storytelling, and consistent experiences. Imagine you’re browsing a website, and what’s the first thing you wanna know? You got it—how much it costs! It’s like when you’re shopping for anything; price matters. So, here’s the lowdown: 1. Be upfront :- Don’t beat around the bush. Just lay out those prices plain and simple. Nobody likes a guessing game. 2. Build trust :-Being honest about prices is like saying, “Hey, we’re real people here.” It helps folks feel comfortable doing business with you. 3. Give options:- We’re all unique, right? So, offer different price ranges or packages. It’s like finding the right size shoe; everyone’s got their fit. 4. Start with a hint:- Show a sample price or a starting point. It’s like dipping your toe in the water before diving in. 5. Keep it easy:- Don’t make folks jump through hoops to get in touch. Have a contact form right there, so they can reach out hassle-free. E-commerce but fun and gamified? I got you. 😄 Sent this prototype I designed on Figma to a friend, and she legit asked for a link to the live product. When I told her it was a prototype, she thought I was (and still believes I am) kidding. Rolls Reels, a nomer I coined from the car brand "Rolls Royce," is an e-commerce website for car purchase I conceptualised. If you're patient enough to watch the video till the end, you'd find the very catchy car customisation feature of this product. This was my favourite part of the prototyping experience. Reviews were buried, and the subscription options were not prominently showcased. After: Visually Striking Image Gallery: We've implemented a sleek, responsive gallery that showcases our products in high-definition, allowing customers to zoom in and truly appreciate the quality. Clear Product Details: Instead of dense paragraphs, we've adopted a clean, icon-driven layout to highlight key ingredients, benefits, and usage instructions at a glance. Prominent Reviews: Customer reviews are now front and center, giving prospects social proof and insights from real users. Streamlined Subscriptions: We've made our subscription options more visible and easier to understand, encouraging customers to subscribe and save.
