Do you want to know levels of IMF in an animal before processing? Well, our recent on-farm measurements of lamb bring that closer. Using our non-invasive Marbl™ sensor and two trial setups, we verified that when the sensor was well positioned, the results were good. Also, each animal was measured in 10-15 seconds once in position. The shearer-setup delivered the best results on the day, but we're targeting the handler-style setup, with Marbl™ on the spring-balance, for further work as it should be more reliable and consistent in the long run. Check out our video showcasing both methods in action and stay tuned for more updates as we continue to refine and enhance Marbl™! #IMF #redmeatprocessing #lambprocessing #IMFmeasurement #intramuscularfat #meatprocessing #productdevelopment

Everybody makes mistakes. And that is OK. It is the way how you deal with them, that is most important. Yesterday I joined a #Dataharvest session about mistaken being made and fixed. 👇 The main reasons for making mistakes were 1) assumptions 2) lack of risk assessment and 3) communication Mentioned by the panel was the MoU, a guideline to start a conversation about agreements, assumptions and expectations, governance and organisation. Secondly the need of open communication and a safe place to be honest to each other and yourself. I would like to add risk assessment: when preparing a project, and going through the MoU, don't forget to make a list of risks. On a personal level, project level, data, sources, etc. It makes you aware of the possible mistakes and the mitigation you can address when it happens. Here is my short newsletter about this major subject that is often underexposed: https://lnkd.in/eatMxgzK
