Deeper dive on Catalent Pharma Solutions acquisition by Novo Holdings. Excellent reporting Endpoints News as always. Notably of the total $16.5B a whopping $11B are for the THREE fill finish plants targeted for (likely) GLP-1 inhibitors. The other 50 (!) sites are therefore valued at $5.5B (yes there’s also $5B in liabilities on the balance sheet). So at best 1:1 at worst 2:1 value of three big DP sites vs. all other business. Interesting lesson for everyone out there in #CDMO land. Also compare Eli Lilly and Company building MFG capacity at risk for oral GLP-1 agonists (https://lnkd.in/dpeWFXEJ). Oh and fun side note —> Eli Lilly and Company of course manufactures some product at Catalent Pharma Solutions… this will be interesting 🫠

Yesterday, Wheeler Bio, Inc.'s Chief Manufacturing Officer Yuk Chun Chiu delivered two great presentations at KENX's Validation University Conference. Exciting news for the biotech industry! On Tuesday, the $XBI index surpassed the $100 mark, providing a moment of relief for investors after a roller coaster two-year ride. The 5.7% rise adds to a monthslong pickup from the October doldrums. “The rally that started four months ago continued last week but not quite at the same pace as before.
