Having a positive attitude when engaging in sales is essential. This begins with having confidence in yourself and your product, looking customers in the eye and having product knowledge. Being happy and having a spring in your step when dealing with customers will also make a difference to your sales results.

Sales is an art which thrives on authenticity, honesty and empathetic listening skills. A good Sales person is always ready to lend a patient hearing and advise the right Solution to the Problem confronted by the Customer. Understanding the pain points of a customer calls for a lot of patience and uniterrupted listening skills. A Sales person who is a good listener can inspire confidence in customers. It is not our talkativeness but our attentiveness to the problems explained by the customer which determines the true value of the service that we are selling. If we succeed in suggesting the most appropriate solution for the customer's problem with a strong conviction, the customer will start trusting us.

Sales Challenge 101. Sales person: Soo this is what service I offer Customer: Give me your business card and I will call you. Sales person: Can I also get your card? Customer: NO, I will call you. At this point different Sales person see different results from this situation. 1. One , this was a great day and an investment in the future. 2. No Customer calls back a Sales person so this is a loss. 3. Nothing happened. What about you,What would you conclude?

We've all heard that sales is a tough job... or a second job... But is it so???? Never. Wherever we look in the world we can see sales. If there is no method of sales, the existence of this world is in doubt.. Because everywhere you look, there is buying and selling... Only through this is the flow of money possible… Life is possible in this era only when money flows from one person to another… Now don't you understand that sales is a very important field... Those who work in it are more important. Every person doing a sales job is part of a mind game… their every thought, action and perspective is about how to increase their sales. A sales professional only thinks about how to understand a customer and get them what they want through a product or service.

Topic for discussion: Should the customers be treated as a king in a sales conversation (of which they can take undue advantage) or the sales conversation/ sales relation between customer and the seller should be based on mutual respect, mutual trust and mutual benefit. Sales has a negative connotation. If you are “good” at sales, you typically: - Have a deeper understanding of the client's needs - Solve actual problems. - Smooth the edges - Save people time. - Facilitate and can help multiple people get on the same page Customers are VERY educated nowadays and the salesperson now should help close the gap in the last 10% of the buying process. Customize. ✔️ Speed. ✔️ Experience. ✔️ If you are in sales, go be great. You are not alone.

The sales industry is undoubtedly a double test of meticulousness and patience. Good sales staff, like rain moistening things, not only need to be sensitive to customer needs, but also need to be meticulous care, patiently listen to every detail, to ensure that the information is accurate. In the face of customers' questions and hesitations, they can always answer them one by one with the same patience, and gradually build a bridge of trust. This carefulness enables them to accurately grasp the pulse of the market and provide personalized services; And patience is the key to winning customer recognition and closing deals. On the road of sales, care and patience are like wings, helping salespeople to fly in the sea of business and achieve extraordinary results.

One of the things customers do not like to hear from a sales person is the sales person's target that is not related to an incentive for the customer. Many times in desperation, a sales person may mention that he/she needs to achieve xyz value of sales to meet his or her target. This is usually a 🚩 to many customers, except those you have transformed to a family (you cannot over-farm this land either or it will become marginal in no time). What triggers a customer to release a PO aside normal restocking schedule is value proposition, either short or long term; 1. Is there an urgency due to potential OOS situation or a price hike? (this one don suffer for sales people hand pass😁) 2. Is it tied to an incentive? 3. Is it a pipeline to a future benefit? A good sales man should be able to make a cocktail from one or more of the above, garnished with any other business-specific relevant ordering triggers while engaging the customer. The target is yours, not the customer's, but the strategy to achieve it sits with you. Happy Selling. AB.

Sales is an art which can be learnt over a period of time. But no one can perfect it as in the transforming period new challenges emerge, which requires new skills and upgrading your knowledge. One should always adapt with the new patterns. Always keep your client's needs in mind and balance it with your profits. Don't just focus on convincing the client on your proposal and not to try to confuse them with multiple options. Just keeping it simple and prompt response will do the trick. A good product is as important as a good sales person.
