The workforce has changed significantly after Covid-19 experience and retention has became a challenge in many organizations. People are looking for work life balance as main factor in employment. Recently, one of my staff seek another opportunity after 18 months of working together. The retention period of 18 months is short to me but in sales industry, its considered a healthy benchmark according to a friend in HR department. As a leader, there are 3 takeaways when a staff decided to leave for greener pastures: 1. Consistently engaging with your team and having open dialogue can be a great way to build trust in your team and retain the people you want to keep. 2. Letting go of someone can be a positive and productive experience for both sides. 3. Remember to give direct but kind feedback when it is time to let go. In the industry, we might be crossing path again and have another opportunity to work together in the future. #worklifebalance #positive #facingchallenges #learnfromexperiences

Randstad's latest survey revealed that 94% of employees consider work-life balance to be important. In fact, a staggering 61% of people would not accept a job if it disrupted their work-life balance. Additionally, nearly half of the survey respondents - 48% - would quit their jobs if it prevented them from "enjoying their life." Almost always nowadays you will find in a job offer a statement saying that the employer provides a "work-life balance". If the job is full-time, above 37.5h per week, this statement is simply a one big lie. The only hope is in projects like 4 Day Week - Global. My generation is forced to work approx. 40h/week but hopefully our kids will work less and have more life for themselves and for their families then us. I wish they will find real work-life balance in their future. #worklifebalance #worklifeharmony #4dayworkweek #9to5
