**Things that Don't Change - 2023 to 2024 Crossover -Pastor Francis Madojemu** In this message, Pastor Francis Madojemu shares some insights on how to maintain a right relationship with God and experience His presence and power in the new year. He emphasizes the importance of having a clean heart and a right spirit, and not breaking fellowship with the Holy Spirit. He also tells a story of how Kenneth Hagin learned to minister with what he had, instead of trying to imitate Katherine Khulman. He encourages the listeners to be authentic and faithful to their calling and gifts, and to trust God to do great things through them. He talks about the importance of sowing in the land, not just in the church, and trusting God to multiply what we give. He also challenges the listeners to put God first in everything, and not to depend on human beings or circumstances. He shares a personal story of how he learned to prioritize his family and his quiet time with God, even when he was busy with church work. He concludes by inviting the listeners to make a commitment to God and to receive His blessings. Here is a list of key points and principles that the message covers, especially the things that don't change: - God is the one who does not change, and He is the one we should build our plans around. - Having a clean heart and a right spirit is essential for enjoying God's salvation and joy. - The Holy Spirit is our helper and guide, and we should not take Him for granted or break fellowship with Him. - We should minister with what we have, and not try to imitate others or be someone we are not. - We should sow in the land, not just in the church, and trust God to multiply what we give. - We should put God first in everything, and not depend on human beings or circumstances. - We should listen to God's instructions and stop trying to do things because everybody is doing them. - We should make a commitment to God and receive His blessings. History unfolds with a perfect plan, but our individualistic and materialistic mindset blinds us to God's greater purpose. Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." It is as easy as one, two, three. Have you ever heard someone say that when explaining something. Today's verse gives us a three step plan for relitalizing our lives in Christ. 1. Give thanks to the Lord for all He has done for you. 2. Call on Him for your needs and the needs of those you encounter and know about. 3. Make known His deeds by telling people what He has done in your life. When you give thanks to Him, you are entering His gates (Psa 100:4) When you call on Him for your needs you are acknowledging that He is your "need-meeter" (Phil 4:19) When you make known His deeds by telling others what He has done/is doing in your life, you are fulfilling Acts 1:8. Do this for 21 consecutive days, and you will have created a habit of thanksgiving, dependence on God and witnessing for Him. It's as easy as one, two, three. #justdoit #doitforaday #doitforaweek #doit21days

Today's sermon at Christ Church Los Angeles "A TREE OF TESTING or A TREE OF TRUSTING", starts at about 26:10. Text: “But God did say, ‘You must not eat fruit from the tree that is in the middle of the garden, and you must not touch it, or you will die’” (Gen. 3:3 NIV). We will explore the question of why God placed the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden. Was God simply setting up Adam and Eve for their ultimate disobedience? Is God really to blame for the fall of humankind, or did the tree serve another purpose? The tree of the knowledge of good and evil was necessary because of the nature of God and because of the nature of man. The tree, while a significant symbol, is not the ultimate source of condemnation but rather a catalyst for revealing the depth of human sin and the necessity of God's redemption. The tree, in a way, represents the human condition, a state of separation from God. But it is through this separation that God's love and redemptive power are most clearly revealed. Please give the video a "thumbs up", subscribe to the Christ Church Los Angeles YouTube channel, @christchurch7855 like and follow the Christ Church Los Angeles Facebook page, #christchurchlosangels and visit the Christ Church Los Angeles website christchurchlosangeles.org. #treeoftheknowledgeofgoodandevil #test #testing #trust #trusting #GodsPresence #Godsgift
