Food habits develop at an early age. I am disgusted by seeing parents feeding their children the usual junk as fries, sodas, all sorts of candy, many times as a reward multiple times a day. Obesity, diabetes, depression, sleep disorders are on the rise. Generations before never took in so much sugar as ours does. Parents hold the responsibility over their children. What a crappy argument I hear many times: he/she won't stop crying till I give them candy! Wake the hell up! (Who taught them to have candy all the time in the first place...?) When it comes to carbs, it is so much easier to drink than eat carbs. That's why sugary drinks are so dangerous. Don't think that juices or smoothies are much better, they are pasteurized and loaded with sugar albeit natural.
