Marina Abramović's must-see retrospective is on until January 1st 2024 at the Royal Academy of Arts, London. Her book, Nomadic Journey and Spirit of Places, published by Prestel, September 2023, presents over 300 original artworks made on hotel stationery. Growing up under the Communist dictatorship in Yugoslavia, the artist finally set about her travels in her late twenties and never looked back. With beautifully reproduced drawings, collages, poetry, and recipes, the book documents her peripatetic existence and eventual recognition as a globally renowned artist, proving that, wherever you may roam, art is always with you.
