📖 Shameless plug, personally my first publication as a #chiropractor in the Chiropractic Journal of Australia. 📖 In it, discussion and many thoughts are shared with Dr Bill Hayward, Dr Lyndon Amorin-Woods. We emphasise the importance of chiropractic care principles within and alongside the Indigenous strength-based approaches to better health and how strongly they resonate collectively. Some key take-aways: 🔑 The strength-based lens works very synonymously with the current biopsychosocial model of health, whereby patient and practitioner work together to attain shared goals for improved clinical outcomes. 🔑 To include, promote and consider the chiropractic profession in greater capacity within Aboriginal Medical Services, Community Controlled Health Organisations and the like. 🔑 Tie-in with preventative health principles in both the clinical and broader population as best practice to offset disease before it manifests fully and better appreciate the distal and proximate relationships with chronic disease. 🔑 An optimal state of health as the starting point for care delivery, sometimes referred to as salutogenesis, rather than a waiting until something bad manifests itself in the body approach. #chiropractic #indigenoushealth #strengthbased #salutogenesis

This article by Dr. Michael Schneider includes a great explanation of the important difference between statistical significance and clinical significance. Determining what constitutes a clinically significant change in a population (or a clinically meaningful change in an individual patient) is often a complex and nuanced discussion. However, the first and most important step is to acknowledge that a statistically significant change in a study population may or may not be clinically significant. Once we know to ask that important question, a little common sense often goes a long way toward helping predict if an intervention is likely to produce a clinically meaningful change in another similar individual. Knowing a p-value is great. Knowing a p-value and the clinical significance of the change in an outcome measure is far better.

Director of Above the Atlas pty Ltd and owner of The IN8 Life chiropractic clinic and Event owner of the IN8 Summit Chiropractic Seminar
PART 1: The importance of growth and professionalism in our chosen field. 👨⚕️🤩 As we all know, for a while now, we've been seen as mere fish in the medical department's pond, struggling to get our hands on any crumbs that fall from the big pharma table. But enough of that, it's time to show the world that we're far from the typical hippies, and we have a top-notch product to offer. ⭐ But here's the thing, how can we truly stand out in our profession? How can we elevate ourselves to new heights? It all boils down to defining our practice and principles. We need to establish what we do, what we don't do, and what our clinic stands for. No more chasing after medicine's scraps. After all, chiropractic was meant to be separate and unique. We shouldn't be seeking validation from a failing model. Instead, let's go back to our core principles and embrace our roots. As one of our great philosophers, Fred Barge, once said: "Even rats desert a sinking ship." Let's strive for greatness and keep pushing for a more holistic and natural approach, like medicine is trying to achieve. So, let's chat, what do you think we can do to truly embody what chiropractic is all about? Leave your thoughts in the comments below! 💭💬 #backtocoreprinciples #striveforgreatness #holisticapproach I #naturalapproach #chiropracticindustry #chiropractors #samfloreani #drsamflo

💜 Chiropractic care is more than you think. Although the focus is on the spine, the profession has grown over the years. Most practitioners add certifications to form their unique style of diagnosis and treatment to provide optimal health care. Such diversity makes it impossible to lump all chiropractors into the same bag--and what one's training is helps to determine how one views the patient, the symptoms and the health concern. One practitioner told me that he doesn't look for a disease; he looks at what is wrong and determines what tools will be most effective to correct it. As Bernie Siegel said, those tools can include kindness, support and love. When you combine the wisdom of Chinese Medicine with chiropractic care, you get a unique perspective that allows you to diagnose and treat health problems in a substantially different way. Add all of Aldo's other certifications to that and you know, you are in good hands. Listen to my August 2014 show on-demand with guest Aldo D'Aversa to see health care in a new light. ▶️ https://lnkd.in/gU4xH_2Z #drpaulajoyce #lifecoach

Helping frustrated pain docs & therapists 2x their income with 50% less work in 6 months by becoming world class at diagnosing/treating adhesion.
Albert graduated chiropractic school in 2014 and practices in NYC and Puerto Rico. When he was asked, “Why did you become an Adhesion Release Methods provider?” He answered, “I like seeing my patients light up because they’re getting an immediate result!” Albert also commented that he likes having a system and specific steps that, when followed, gains better ranges of motion than anything else. I’ve found that this enormously reduces a doctor’s or therapist’s cognitive load during a work day, making treatment results seem magical to patients who don’t realize that it’s because of the system that they’re getting these amazing, permanent results. 👉 Do you want a system that will allow you to fix people in chronic pain with less stress during the day? 👉 Want to get immediate results for your patients or clients that lasts? ➡️➡️ Comment below “system” and we can see if you qualify to become our next Adhesion Release Methods provider!
